I rebuilt a coil last night. At fist it read 2.2 ohms on my Vamo. My free Harbor Freight multimeter said it was around 3.4, but I was getting really inconsistent readings on it. I don't trust them. Then I put the liquid in and it changed to 3.4ohms on the Vamo. Every time I read it using the vamo, I get a different reading. They do all seem to be + or - .2 ohms at this point, with the exception of the first reading. Is it likely a single wrap is close and making an inconsistent connection and that is causing them to jump around?

It tastes and vapes great. Much better then the factory coil which had about 15 tight wraps and burned everything. Even though this is my first rebuild, I'm pretty confident I did a better job then the factory wrap.

My readings tend to jump around like that. A new, dry atomizer will read a little higher than it does after I've filled it. As long as it's in the ballpark of what I want and it's not reading 9.9 or "Low" I don't worry about it too much.

Edited after re-reading your post...maybe try snugging it down on the battery just a little tighter?

Can you get consistent readings on other toppers with the Vamo? I ask because there's always the possibility that the center contact or threading on the Vamo has an issue. Sketchy continuity via the center contact, for what ever reason, or... just in need of a cleaning.

All other toppers seem consistant. Its just the one I rebuilt.

I may just redo it. It wasn't so hard.
