So I used to use the protank 2 with aero base a lot and would rebuild my heads and rewick often. I then moved on to a kayfun and dripping so I passed protank along to the wife with a stockpile of coils. Well after many many months I finally need to do some rewicking for her. It's been so long I don't remember how much cotton to use in both the coil and the flavor wick. I am getting gurgling and juice down into the base. A decent amount at that. Am I over wicking or under wicking. First thought is under but I tried adding more and feel like it got worse. Just not sure and am really tired of messing with the wife's rig. Flavor in that thing sucks compared to my kayfun.

You need more cotton if it's gurgling. I've been unrolling a cotton ball, cutting off a strip about 1/8 of inch wide, and rolling it pretty small and tight before threading it through the coil. I fluff up and trim the cotton coming out of the coil. No flavor wick needed.
