Need to be rather careful about heat on these heads due to the silicone/rubber washer and its nasty habit of burning. I tend to build around 1.5-1.8 using 30ga and run it up to 13w or so. Much higher and the juice has trouble wicking quickly enough. You can definitely try running it lower, just be ready if your wattage gets too high.

Please don't hurt yourself.

Many people do not realize it but there is a LOT of energy in the batteries and they can be very dangerous if abbused.

Abuse can be asking them to product more current than they were designed to.

Lower resistance puts a huge strain on the batteries. They sometimes fail by giving off gas, hot enough to burn. Carefully check the resistance of your coils, and have someone with experience who knows what he is doing check things out.

So i need to know if that's safe to run on my aero tank...if i ran it on my nemesis..with batteries that run as low as .20 ohms...

So is that what you were expecting or is there a short somewhere in there?

Did you dry fire to see how the coils are performing before wicking and did you measure resistance before wicking?

And just to confirm - you put back 2 coils, and not just 1 ?
