First, for any newcomers like me. BLU is NOT the new vapor, or whatever. Not for me, anyway.

I got the Blu starter kit, and quickly realized it wasn't right for me. No vapor, no throat hit, and inconsistent.

THEN, I did my research!

I settled on an Ego-T, mine is from Janty and called the Ego-T JETS. Yes, it has a manual button (important).

In a word - "amazing". Love it. I have a few analog cigarettes left, and I'm not sure I want or need to smoke them. My wife and daughter are thrilled too. My wife is a non-smoker but often goes out to the garage with me when I smoke, so we can talk and catch-up, but she hates 2nd-hand smoke. Today, she didn't have any problem as I took a drag from my Ego-T ... inside the house even!

As a newbie, I have a ton of questions... will post some soon. (like, if an atty goes bad, can I replace it with any Ego-T atty - from Joye, for example).

Also, for other newbies,,, RY4 is not a code-word for "generic tobacco flavor"... I saw that a lot of people like RY4 and ordered some, but to me, it tastes like bubble gum, even though it's supposed to be a vanilla / caramel mix. (When I ordered it, I didn't even know it was a vanilla / caramel mix - such is the life of a newb).

Welcome and congrats on switching! You should be able to use whatever atty with the ego battery, so when you have a dead atty feelnfree to replace it with any 510 threaded atty and you'll be rocking! As for flavor your taste buds will change so juices will start tasting different in a couple weeks so try that stuff again when the time comes to see if the flavor is different.

Thanks for the info. I'm catching on, I think... I had never associated the number 510 with the thread size! :)

The thought also occurred to me that I might enjoy RY4 later. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind and remain open-minded.

Congratulations on your ego-T. Now you can poke around the web and look for new flavors. Also I know the instructions with the kits are not the greatest. I found You-tube videos on how to clean an Ego-t Atomizer very helpful. Eventually I bought a steamer to clean my atty's (just me, there are several methods to clean, and the best is subject to debate).

Also if you considering making the permanent switch from analogs, I would recommend grabbing some back up tanks and Atty's early on. Unlike cigs it's hard to run out to the corner store when you run out or if an atty burns out.. There are several reputable vendors associated to the forum, but be sure to read there threads, in the supplier's forum most even offer a discount code to ECF customers.

Yeh, so far I've seen rubbing alcohol and compressed air, as well as a dry burn- confusing!

BTW, how many times can I pull a tank out, refill, and re-insert?
