I'm excited to hear what everyone's initial impressions are. I spent a lot of time prepping those bad boys:) FYI, i test fit and fire a AW New style 18650 in each one before it ships. Other batteries, use at your own risk, but the Ultrafire 18650 3000mah also fits. Also, i'll soon be carrying the AW18650's and AW ICR 123/16340's.

I'm deeply impressed. The button was perfect out of the box, AW 18650 flat tops fit perfect. No rattle. The button throw is short but doesn't go off in your pocket. The machining is of course flawless. It doesn't weigh as much as I thought it would, and it is smaller than I thought it would be. I'll be doing a full review on tenburn.com later. Here are some pics I took:

got my 18650 precise but unfortunately, it appears my trustfire 18650 2000mAh 3.7V battery is a wee bit too big....leaving a gap about the size of the Oring installed by manufacturer.

sorry to hear that your batt didn't fit.
TF has many different 18650...some that look the same but are slight different sizes. (at least from my personal experience. It can get confusing.

like many others, I think you should go with AW anyhow.
lighthound.com usually ships pretty quick so you can get your new mod up and running.
they carry the aw's.

....Don't worry Dave you are still the smallest

Ohhh, just the words that every guy want to hear,

We wouldn't even think about that if it weren't for the pic of the PS-V3. I can't believe they finalized on that shape. I just can't imagine putting that thing up to my mouth.

Regardless of your gender or orientation, can you see yourself taking that thing out in public?

Well, yeah, guess I'll have to put in an order for aw 18650s. The precise still works but it's just not as pretty...I wonder...The O-Ring is needed, why?

EDIT: don't mean to derail this thread...just remembered it's a receiving line...sorry to the OP.

Not sure which trustfires you have, but these are the batteries that have been tested and fit the Precise:

AW New style 18650
AW Button Top 18650
AW IMR 18650 (add extra oring, it's a really short battery compared to other 18650's)
Ultrafire Red 18650 3000mah

The Oring in the bottom of the battery chamber is essentially the spring and what keeps the battery tight. When you tighten the cap down, the battery compresses the Oring down. You can try just tightening the cap harder.

Best,

David

Super-T recommends the use of AW batteries in it's Precise 18650 and Precise 16340. Each one has been tested for both fit and function. I will soon be carrying AW batteries for your convenience and have provided links for where to purchase them in the interim.

Precise 18650:

AW new version Protected 18650 2600mah: AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery - New Version

AW button top Protected 18650 2200mah: AW 18650 Protected 2200 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

AW IMR18650 1600mAh (install included extra o-ring for proper fit): AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN rechargeable lithium battery

Notes:

I have test fit a Red Ultrafire 3000mah without fitment problems, but some may be too long.

Precise 16340:

AW RCR 123A Protected 750mah: AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery

AW IMR16340 550 mAh: AW IMR16340 550 mAh IMR CR123 size LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery

The 16340 Precise will fit all available 16340 style batteries. If one is too long, simply remove one of the pre-installed O-rings in your Precise (the O-rings are found in the bottom of the battery chamber of your Precise and can be pushed out from the switch side).
