Hey, I am due for an upgrade. I've been using my Buzz Pro VV Mod with Li-Ion Batts for almost two years now. It has given up on me, and I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm debating just purchasing a new one, or having it fixed. If you are interested, I -do- have it listed on the trading forums.

I've been pretty content using very simple 808 or 510 cartomizers. They're cheap and easy to replace. I know nothing about tanks or any of the new style of atomizer/cartomizers/hybrids.

And the batteries I've been using were highly regarded at the time I started using my first APV. Trustfire, Powerizer, Tenergy, all LI-ION, PCB-protected. Evidently, these aren't good enough anymore. Not for today's APV's anyway. Now I'm being told I have to have some kind of IMR High-drain technology.

I am looking for something that would -hopefully- use my existing batteries, be -extremely- reliable, and vape around 4-5volts. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I also don't want to have to be replacing parts or doing any kind of work from home just to keep them running. The Buzz Pro will last me between 6-8 months before having to be fixed.

If your batteries are as old as your Buzz I would think about changing them as well. Right now you can get a BAM blemish in red for $60...won't last long but it is currently listed BAM Blemished & Other Mod Stuff Sale Thread . Ed the Green sells the blems but still guarantees them to work as new. I have one and it is perfect as far as function. Add a Kick for $45 and a couple 26500 batteries and you will have a mod whose batteries will last a heavy vapor several day on a single charge. The BAMs are made in the US and Ed will service them if you do have a problem.

There are other BAM blems listed on that page as well but at $60 the red is a steal.

So I would need to buy that for $60, the Kick for $45, and at least 2 batteries and a charger. I'm guessing ~$140

Any other suggestion

Nice thing is it comes with a sleeve for 18500/18650 batteries and you can use it without the Kick with 18650s. So you can add a Kick later, add the big batteries later and have a great mod to use while you build up the rest of the kit for it.

You could always just buy a provari. Still going to be at least 140.

I just bought a BAM blem though, purple because it seemed like the right way to go. So now people can see me vaping a purple pipebomb looking thing in my car.

He has another purple listed...so tempted. Ed will have my Mantis back to me all new and improved next week...think I will be happy with it for now...

LRider Corolla Telescopic Mechanical Mod Top Button

Looks to be a promising mechanical MOD. If you want VW you'd have to Kick it.

The China GG is similar and can be had for under $30 when you find on e 'In Stock'.

Just suggesting you look at telescoping MOD's in general because it sounded like you want battery options.
I'm very happy with my MKB-TS, although I'm handy enough to have figured an adapter/center-post configuration to overcome the limitations people are complaining about.

I am going to weigh in here, the batteries you use with the buz pro are 3.0v batteries, and are smaller RCR123A's... __IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE SAME BATTERIES__ the only mods right now is the version 1 T-Max and the Billet Box... Good luck getting those...

That said, a price range would help, do you want a pure VV, do you want VW, do you mind PWM, do you want a tube, do you want a box?

Provari is a good device, a mech is a good device but you wont get 5v out of it, the mvp doesnt even take batteries (has one built in.)

You can get a new Buzz Pro for $80, not sure if the "ECF Buzzkill" code will work to knock even that a little lower. Their Envy should be beta soon, so it'll be out in the Summer, uses the same batteries as BP from what I've heard.

I've used BP since it first came out, really zero reason to change from a rugged, well-performing PV. Envy should be a bit smaller, I believe, no changeable top cap, and have some flashy upgrades related to the user interface.

I've stuck with the notcigs electronics because they work so well for me. My only regular non-notcigs PV is the Reo VV Grand bottom feeder, which packages the notcigs VV with a really solid bottom feed body.

If your present BP board is toast, I believe a new one, installed at notcigs, runs about $35. Otherwise, maybe just have the old one encased in plastic and pick up a new BP.

Lots of other choices, of course, but I care about what works for me, don't chase the latest things.

Best of luck!

Yeah, I've really loved my Buzz Pro, and if it had still been working I wouldn't even think about switching. I like the size, tube style, and ease-of-use of the device. They tried troubleshooting it with me via e-mail, and when I pulled the top cap off, the red wire came apart from the top cap, so maybe I can fix it, but I just don't have the tools or know-how to solder that wire back on. This is the second time this has happened, but I've also had the thing for almost 2 years, and I've dropped it plenty of times. I'm wondering if this is standard life for this PV or maybe just my fault.

I'm also afraid of it happening to me again if I get a new one, but it would save me from having to buy new batteries. I just don't have a lot of money, and there's so many options. I don't want to change to something less reliable. I was looking at the Vamo at exhalevapors for $40, but then I'd have to buy new sets of batteries. What do you guys think about that compared to the BP or other mods?

Think about a Vamo, in SS or chrome, or black chrome. VV and VW, 18650 or 18350 batteries, as there's an extensin you can take out. Same electronics as more expensive *max APV.
AND ALL THAT FOR 30 LIVRES, from Vaporbreak, postage included.:p
I've got 3, one of which is SS, and frankly I find it better construction wise, than those in chrome.
Loads of articles on the forums, they're really a great, not ruining, APV, 510 & ego, but sometimes, especially with the chrome ones, you need an adapter to use a Clearo, although it isn't the same with the stainless model. The well round the fitting is bigger.
I love mine, any ways, though it's a question of taste, as well as pocket. ;)
