Hi Folks,

Christmas is on its way and I've a little money to spend. But this query isn't for me. It is mostly in search of something for my wife. We both gave up smoking about 6 months ago. We both started out with ego type regulated mods with kanger tanks from a local vape store here in Fredericksburg, VA. About two weeks later, I'm onto my first Sigelei Zmax V5 and various tanks from ViviNova, to Aspire Nautilus, to a Kayfun Lite V2 clone. And here I am now, all that is retired really, I almost exclusively drip with a Chi Yu Clone, and Plum Veil. I absolutely love it and I am considering either getting a Sigelei 100W for christmas for myself or perhaps waiting for the MVP 3. Not sure yet I need to see what the first things said about the V3. Probably deeply looking at a Magma as well. But I digress.

My wife took a similar route, but is not dripping. We also got a Sigelei Zmax V5 for her, but she is using mine mostly because of its button stability. Her Sigelei button went on the fritz and I don't wanna pull it apart yet to see whats up. She is stuck on and cinnamon vapes and that was a challenge in itself. It ate through the kanger t3's like they were butter, ate through the vivi nova's. We graduated to a Vivi Nova Pyrex and that lasted for a while but then the tip seals started getting ate up as well as the bottom seals. I then put her on a solid Kayfun LIte V2 clone from ehpro without the clear section and it lasted forever, but I got tired of having to fill it for her all the time and leaking?...(Well she really inhales so that tank isn't good for strong inhalers, it leaks like crazy) Finally, now we are onto the FireTank from electronicstix and it seems to do the trick. I just hate the feeling of having to pay for carto's, but I'll can deal with it and I punch them myself. I think I have the tank situation solved, but now I am facing a mod problem.

My wife has struggles with pressing the button on the Sigelei Zmax. Something to do with Lithium levels in her body. It makes her hands shake like crazy and she is constantly going into the menu when she tries to vape on it. I thought I found a solution did some reviews and research and the Itaste MVP 2.0 seems to be a good solution. We bought one it is a nice mod. The fire button does just that fires and she doesn't go into menu and if her hand shakes and doesn't turn off. That's five clicks i seem to remember. The only issue with the MVP is that it doesn't have the hit and strong vape with the Fire Tank and 2.0ohm cartos, as compared to it being on the Sigelei. Noticeably different in her mind so the MVP is going unused. On the Sigelei, we are using stock batteries and the Voltage is set to 4.0 or 4.2. Did the same thing on the MVP and even I notice it just doesn't have the same strong vape as the Sigelei.

I guess I said all the to see if anyone has any recommendations what the problem might be with the MVP or even a recommendation on a reasonably priced alternative mod that will give us the same Vape with the Boge 2.0ohm carto on the Sigelei. I considered trying to get her into dripping the cinnamon but I'm scared to. I can just see a car accident happening or fluid all over the place while she's trying to drip it into the rda and her hand is shaking all over the place.

Well now that I've written a novel. Thank you in advanced for the responses. I love this forum.

Hi Michael!

First of all, I can assure you, from my own experience, that there is no difference whatsoever between voltage output on the MVP and the Sigelei Zmax (especially with a 2Ω Boge carto at 4 volts). I have a Zmax and an MVP2 (and I've used Boge cartos on both of them). Provided that both PVs are working as they should and are not defective, of course. If anything, the MVP will run much more smoothly (the 33hz Sigelei Zmax is one of the infamous "rattlesnake" devices; it doesn't bother me--I feel it more with single coil atties then with duals, for some reason.)

Having said that, there is just one thing that may cause the Zmax to fire at higher voltages than it should--if it's set to Mean instead of RMS. Scroll through the menu and make sure that you select RMS. More on the subject:

If she prefers higher wattage, she can try to up her voltage on the MVP, but I wouldn't recommend it--she may burn the filler in her Boge carto, even if it's tanked.

Innokin is about to release the long-awaited MVP3 with a DNA chipset. May be worth a wait. No idea when and how much it will cost, but I'm pretty sure they will release it before Christmas.

Another thought would be a different topper--your wife may like Kanger's Aerotank (or EMOW mega tank)--I love mine. It's all glass and stainless steel, replaceable dual-coil heads, beautiful vape. Plenty of vapor and good flavor. Just get some extra coils--they can be cleaned, dry burned and even rebuilt.

Good luck!

There are a few multi-button mods that may work for her, where the fire button ONLY fires.

The Tesla mod and the Innokin SVD are that style interface, and both have the feature of letting you lock the settings. Not turn it off, as many makers refer to lock, but leave it on and just disable setting changes. The Tesla only goes to 3 amps, but that should be sufficient for cartos and carto tanks. The SVD has had problems with the fire button going a bit wonky. Mine lost it's "click" about three months in, but still works fine. And the Tesla? Well, I like it enough that I have two :)

There are also a lot of versions of Vamo, also multi button, but no lock.
