I am currently using an Aspire vivi nova on an Ego stick battery, this set up is ok but I have decided that I am going to get more serious about vaping and am looking for a new rig.

I am thinking right now of using an itatse mpv box mod with an Aspire nautilus tank. I am pretty sure I want to stick with the nautilus because I am very happy with Aspire, I think the nautilus is beautiful, and it comes very highly recommended from the girl at my local vape shop.

I wanted to know if you guys had any recommendations other than the itaste mpv, or even the nautilus, I am hoping to buy something that's going to be it and I won't have to keep buying more stuff over and over, not really wanting to get into rba's.

Thank you for your time.. Oh, I almost forgot, the set up that I am looking at comes to right around $100, so I would like to stay as close to that as I can..

+1 on the MVP v2 (there is a MVP v3 in the works)

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable Voltage - Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 ~ 5.0 in 0.1 volt increments
3. Variable Wattage - Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 ~ 11.0 in 0.5 watt increments
4. Ohms Meter - Reads the resistance of your atomizer
5. Pass through ability
6. $40 shipped at many online stores

Pair it with a mini Naulitus with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) an you will have a great vape.

Sounds like a plan! I would like to ask you though, I am looking at a full size nautilus, you reccomened the mini, is there any difference other than tank size that makes one better than the other? I sure wish my local vape shop would let you " try before you buy"

They are exact except for the size. The full size is VERY large. Go in your vape shop and look at the difference. Here is a pic I pulled off the web of the full size nautilus on an MVP w/ beauty ring. If you don't mind the size the juice capacity is great.

Id stick with the regular nautilus and just get nautilus mini coils for it. You can use the mini coils on both but just regular nautilus coils on the regular one. Plus with the mini coils (they are the same size) you can vape at a higher wattage and not get burned taste. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413038682.236487.jpg

That's the nautilus mini sitting on a sigelei zmax v5. $55 at my B&M not including the battery or bat charger. Worth paying for the batt and charger because I plan on moving up to the big boys soon.

You could def find the zmax online cheaper though.

The only fault with a set up like the one pictured above is if you pocket your set up regularly. Can put a lot of stress on the bits that connect the mod and topper together (connector and post as well as where the ego connector is attached to the mod). This is a common issue with any of the ego connector mods out there. I would go with a straight walled beauty ring to give a bit more lateral support.

MVP v2 is an awesome device. I own a few of them. I use mine with kayfun's and love them.

Thanks for sharing that, I am really considering getting a Kayfun for a second atty, I think the nautilus will be my primary since to me at least it seems easier to maintain, but the idea of RBA looks like a lot of fun and I think I am going to go that route. I am also a sucker for all things German made, so a Kayfun sounds like a good plan to me.

The MVP only has two weaknesses. The crap connector and the 11w limit. The connector issue can be fixed, but in my experience a Kayfun doesn't reach it's full potential at or below 11w. If the power range is enough for you, upgrade the connector and its a wonderful device.

How do you upgrade the connector? Just got an MVP and really would like to know what the issue is and how to correct it.

+1 for the mvp 2, with an aspire mini. I like the 2ml tanks size instead of the 5ml size. It allows me to change flavors more often. The BVC (bottom vertical coils) in the mini are superior to the BDC (bottom dual coils) in the original nautilus. IMO. But they are also compatible with each other's tanks.
This is the same setup I use as a daily.

Full size Naitilus on one of my mvp's is what I use for my adv. Holds enough juice that I don't have to refill but about once a day. I use the mini's for juices that I vape often, but not exactly an adv. I use the Aspire K1's with an Aspire ego style vv battery for juices I'm trying out or for on the go where I want a more discrete set up. All Aspire, all the time. I am going to get an Eleaf 20w tho. The mini & K1's will fit it & look good, too.

There 2 sizes of BVC coils for Aspire's. The larger size fits both the big Nautilus & the Mini. There is a smaller BVC coil that fits the K1 & all but maybe one of their other glassomizers. I do not recommend their BDC coils at all. But the BVC coils are fantastic. Puff U.com has the plain MVP'S for 36.99, regular price, & Nautilus Coils for like 12.99 a 5 pack. They have a good price on the tanks, too, just can't think of it right now.

Function-It's brass (soft) and the positive pin is not adjustable. The beauty ring provides sub par support to 510 atomizers.
Form-Stuff looks better on mine.

Welp, I was finally able to pull the trigger on it. I went to my local vape shop and got an mpv2. I got a green carbon wrap for it too, so it looks awesome! I wasn't able to get a new clearo at the same time but that will come later. I am using my Aspire vivi nova on it and WOW, what a difference! I'm still playing with the settings on it but I have found that at about 3.6v with 11w it's pretty good, more voltage and I get a burnt taste, so I am good here. Suprisingly the itaste clearo that came with it really wasn't that bad either and for whatever reason it seems to like everything the mod can give it 5v 11w, and it is awesome. I am totally happy with it and can't wait to get the nautilus to go with..

It sounds like you're not using it correctly. You can't use variable voltage settings and variable wattage settings at the same time. One or the other. Which ever setting you viewed last on the display (vv or vw) is the mode it's in. My advice is forget vv mode. Hold vw button until it shows watt setting, adjust to desired watts, vape. Adjust as required. As soon as you view the vv setting, the device is in vv mode. Confused? ;)
