I recently began vaping. Analog free for a week so far! Anyways, my mother who is 65 smokes up to 2 PAD and has been for a good portion of 45+ years. She wants to quit and I explained the e-cig has been a big help for me so far. She's on board with the idea. The main issue is she is not very technically advanced and I feel like if she purchased an eGo or something similar she would give up on it quickly because she would be overwhelmed with all the comes with that type of vape and give up. I obviously don't want this to happen.

My question is, what is a good easy BUT effective e-cig to start her out with? I think she'd be comfortable with a analog look-a-like more so than anything to begin with.

I've read about the Halo, njoy etc but cannot make up my mind.

Is there anyone here that is similar to my mother :)) ) and found something that works for them and found it to be effective? At least as a start?

Thanks for the help guys & gals!

I just (re)discovered auto batteries, they have come a LONG way from the blu cigs...

Check out smokeless image sealed auto batteries and the vision nanos. This is what I got for my father in law, and there is a sale for the 4th of july. Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Smokeless Image Electronic Cigarettes - The Future is in your hands

Nanos

Charger

Wall adapter (optional if she wants to charge from computer)

Personally I just got him the batteries, the charger and the wall adapter and vision nanos. I havent tried their eliquid though.

The vision nanos work well, dont leak and are very easy to fill, and to top it off they are see through so she can see how much is left. Once it starts to taste burnt she can just chuck it and put a new one on.

Only caveat is the first fill of a new one, she has to fill it, put her finger on the bottom to plug the airway and take a couple drags, that fills the atty chamber for the first time, after that she can just fill as normal.

I started with and quickly upgraded from a white cloud kit. I gave it to mom when she came to visit (50yr smoker, 1-2PAD smoker since she was 9) from chicago. When I talked to her 10 days later not only was she using it, but had smoked less than half a pack! WTG mom!
she txted me she was planning on buying more carts, having burned through quite a few of the ones I gave her (I had like probably 20-30) and I'd given her some flings too.

I'm on a mod now, and would have given her an ego and clearo combo - but she was leary. if she lived closer i'd have her on some ego batts and EVOD clearos right now.

The problem with cigalikes is usually they end up being more frustrating for older or not very technically advanced vapers.

Refilling small carto's & clearo's can be frustrating & messy for some folks, if they use prefilled cartos it's easy to run out before they think to reorder and prefilled's can be hit and miss & very close in cost to some folks cigarette habit.
Then there is the constant recharging and dead batteries to deal with.

I helped a 70 year old friend of mine start vaping that had smoked for 55 years, he has never used a cell phone or computer 1 week getting used to the following combo and he has been off cigarettes for a month now.
2 650 mah ego batteries & charger with 2 or 3 Vapeonly BCC mini's, they are the same diameter as the ego battery giving a slick one piece look, easy to fill & simple to change heads (they just press in no threads) and give a very good vape.

I also recommend two ego 650 twists, with two Evods, and a five pack of replacement coils for new vapers.

It is a great easy way to get introduced to VV and clearos. The Evod is simple, reliable, durable and makes a pretty sweet vape. The device is not too cumbersome when assembled.

Great information! The eGo/Evod combo may be the trick. I just hope she doesn't feel awkward with it in public lol but that's a trade off that is worth it! Thanks for the help!

Also, any supplier recommendations out there for the eGo/Evod? I'm assuming the starter kit would be the best route.

I have the same problem. She doesn't live close enough that if she has problems that I can just run over quick and help. I guess I'll just have to give her a day long tutorial on it :)
