I think anything in the 2.0-2.5 range should work well for you (note that some don't recommend lower than 2.5Ω for 510/eGo batts due to the sensitivity of the internal circuitry). But be prepared to have to change batteries even more often than normal. 3Ω would certainly be safer to use on your batts, but you'll suffer from relatively weak vapor, flavor, and TH.

In short, try 2.5Ω first - if you can find them. I know Bauway makes them, but Boge may as well.

I ended up getting the Boge 2.0 LR carto and I must say, it is the best one I have tried yet. The CE2 R4s are nice but have a wicking problem and leak a little. The Joye cartos have a great hit at first, but quickly dies off after about 5 drags, and they can leak and sweat pretty bad. They sweat(leak) sometimes even when the caps are on. The Boges have had a consistent hit every time, have good flavor and vapor and they don't appear to leak at all. Also being an LR carto on a standard Joye 510 battery, there isn't a noticeable difference in battery life.

I had good luck with the 2.5 boge with my ego,and next bought a box of 2.0,and EVERY one has went to a burnt taste within a few hrs but several from the fist draw.. I just read tons of posts regarding burnt tasting cartos on here and tried everything to one resurrect the burnt tasting ones, and then filled one of the last remaining new ones SOOO carefully...same thing taste terrible.... Im using two different ego batteries,so i wouldn't think they are both malfunctioning? Could that even be it,if one of them was?

I don't know, I've been using mine for the past week and none of them have burned on me yet, which I thought was surprising. Maybe using the standard Joye battery has something to do with it. The Joye cartos and E2 R4s would burn eventually. I know they would burn right away if I didn't let them sit for an hour after filling them. With the Boge cartos, I've been able to vape on them right after I fill them. Are you filling them to where they get to a slushy look in the filler material? I make sure to saturate them first before I use them.

Where did you get the 2.5Ω Boges? The only place I know of that carries 2.5Ω Boge 510 cartos is IkenVape. They are not listed as Boge, but I strongly suspect that they are. I like them a lot. No burning at all if properly filled and kept moist at all times. The 2.0Ω Boge cartos run pretty hot, but work well provided that they are never allowed to dry, not even a little bit. I fill them with a syringe for the first time--that's the best method by far--then let them sit for at least an hour. However, I agree with Puffer that they do work even without a long rest; but it's safer to wait. Then I just add a few drops from the mouth end to make sure they are fully saturated. They take a lot of juice, at least 35 drops. Please keep that in mind also. Top off early and top off often.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your batteries, especially if your 2.5Ω cartos worked fine. But you may want to re-evaluate your filling technique. That's the critical part. It sounds like your cartos were underfilled to begin with, or/and were not allowed enough time for the eliquid to fully saturate the filler. Please let us know.

I had no luck with the 510 Bauway 2.5Ω cartos either.
