Thanks for the link, Off Topic.. If the ones sold by Provape are in fact Smoktech.. I believe the 3ohm single coil double punch is pretty much exactly what I'm using now, and the price is significantly less than the Provape site. If Ikenvape hasn't restocked their cartos that I'm needing then I'll put some $$ back for when they are in stock but buy a couple 5 packs from CCV of these.

Zapped, as soon as I posted that, the thought of Low Resistance crossed my mind, but I completely shrugged it off thinking if that was it, then there would be a different acronym for Standard Resistance.. LOL.. Thanks a lot for clearing that up for me and pointing out which is recommended on the Provari!

I've actually found a great voltage for the carto and liquid combo I'm using now.

I have three samples from EC Blends coming which I'll need to experiment with and possibly order a few duals to try with.

I'm not overly big in the sweeter vapes, I much prefer the tobacco related but its kind of a catch 22... I absolutely hate the tobaccos that actually taste similar to a cigarette or typical cigarette / American blend tobaccos. The two I'm using now are very rich tobaccos--one being quite similar to a pipe tobacco and the other is a lot like a semi-sweet shisha that you'd get from a hookah

Recently ordered my first Provari ..

I went ahead and just got a couple of the DCT tanks and carts for them that are sold on the Provape site, but I read some fairly negative reviews in regards to their quality...

I was just going to ask anyone with a Provari or other 510 thread mod what tanks would you best recommend be used, and the cartos to go with them??

I HIGHLY recommend a J-Tank or Fuel Tank. Fuel Tank = Delrin J-Tank with gauge to see the level of liquid between F (full) and E (empty). I have been using my 5.5ml J-Tank for over 2 months now with my ProVari. I keep it in my pocket during the day and I'm always moving around. Never once has it leaked. Not even 1 drop! The tank its self seals very tight onto the carto and it actually takes some effort to take the carto out (which means you don't have to worry about it sliding off when it's in your pocket and spilling all your juice).

I even took it with me last sunday to the parking lot that we all ride at (motorcycle stunting) and it got dropped from about 3-4' high. Besides a couple scratched the tank and the ProVari are still working perfect. The 5.5ml J

Also, I personally have tried many cartos and I always end up going back to the Boge Laser Drilled cartos. They have a laser drilled hole (duh) that is 2.5mm. It's pretty good size, especially compared to smoktech cartos.

The cartos can be found here:

They also have 801 fusion:

With Ikenvape out of stock with their Pre-punched carto's, would it be a simple process to just buy the ones that are not punched.

https://www.ikenvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MGAPlat

and just drill the holes myself on my drill press? is there really a need for a carto punch when one has a drill press?

lol I hear ya with that.. OK Does the hole really need to be that small? I've watched videos were PBusardo is making slits in his carto's.
Maybe I'm overlooking something

I'm still quite new so please bear with my questions if they don't seem all that right. :2cool: I'm learning everyday as I go.

i prefer the kir fanis tanks on my provaris not only for the looks but for ease of filling with the set screw on top.

No, you're fine!
I don't honestly know! I had some Smoktek carto's that were 1.7 ohm single hole and would go dry all the time on me! I drilled them out to 1/16" and it flooded and poured juice onto my Provari! I've seen the slits and I've no idea how they keep from that?
I've had the DC Smoktecks with the single hole and they would gurgle if you let them sit long or shook them up?
None of this makes any sense to me yet either!
I've been trying to play with RBA's (rebuild able atties and tanks) one was a tight draw, had an .039" hole, I open it up to .043" and it's loose as a goose now? That shouldn't have made that much difference, so your guess is as good as mine right now!

That is one good looking tank I'm going to look into as soon as my boss leaves LOL. I put in a large order for a lot of things I'll be trying out on my Provari... About $360 in better tanks, some cartos, a couple vivi Novas just to try them, better carrying case (from smokeless image that Baditude suggested), and then I needed to restock on liquids.

It turns out, I had a bad batch of tank cartos. I got the 2 boxes in from Provape 2 days ago (which these are Smoktech) and have had NONE of the issues I was having.

I actually did order the Ikenvape 510 Mega Platinum. I ordered 15 of them and one of the punchers from Phiniac, to give me some learning room for the handful I'll screw up getting it right lol! But I figured I'd give it a shot since I have 10 Smoktechs working good so far.

Got three 19mm XL tanks from IBTanked. Very good company and even cooler owners. Their site was giving me some problems in adding additional shipping addresses, and one of the owners was in constant contact as I helped diagnose the issue. I figured out a work around and let her know and she rushed my order for me for the help! Can't ask for more than that when it comes to customer service, I'd definitely recommend them to others.

I've had good luck so far with the SmokTek locking DCT tanks. However, the cartos seem to flood no matter how many holes or what juice I use. I have a few more on the way, but I bought about 10 cartos in the beginning and only 2 worked without flooding. I have been vaping on one for over 3 weeks that doesn't flood and I really like it. I bought very small drill bits from HD (in the Dremel isle) and plan on punching/drilling as small a hole as possible. I also have a beautiful Phiniac, but haven't used it much because of flooding.
