Hiya,

I've been loaning PVs to friends since I started vaping. Good ones, too! Mainly my Vtube, twists, silver bullet, and bolt. I don't think VV is necessary for noobs if I can give them LR accessories on a 3.7. Obviously I also loan out batts, chargers, and juice.

I recently god a VMOD XL bottom feeder for when I'm out and about and I love it. All of my friends who've tried it have found it very easy to use. Since I've been (actively) trying to convert folks I've switched from cartos and tanks to dripping. I prefer the taste of dripping myself, and frankly it's easier to set someone up with an atty, drip shield and juice (ok, I don't use a drip shield myself but friends seem to prefer it). That set up is much easier than trying to teach someone how to fill cartos and tanks.

This way noobs can have the dripping experience without tons of new stuff to learn and carry, and if they want to move up to VV at some point I can help them.

What do y'all recommend for your friends? (I know, I know, egos are great).

Bottom feeders are nice and easy to use. We have a modder who makes a nice, affordable bottom feeder here who we all think of fondly. Here is a thread for Old Goat bottom feeders. I'm not sure of the current status of his business. He used to have a website but his son (I think) pulled out. Now he's operating through PMs and email. Do a search on Old Goat and you should be able to easily find his info. Last I heard he was selling the plain boxes for $20. It was my first bottom feeder and I loved it. He's a great guy to deal with and repairs his work when it needs it. Excellent deal for a newbie! (or anyone)

Yep -- +1 for Old Goat. If you're keeping equipment to loan out, get a couple of Old Goat mods. $25 is inexpensive and a great introduction to feeders. - An Old Goat was my first feeder. That was the best thing that ever happened for my continued vaping. I did end up wearing it out, but since then, 95% of my vaping is with a feeder.

Old goat's a great suggestion. I've been looking at maximum vapors and Smartvapes plastic bottom feeders as well.

Well... since you are looking at devices getting in to the $40-50 range and because you like the vmod, you might also want to look at the boge revolution 2.1. I'm not a fan of gravity feeding (I owned a boge revolution v1 and a vmodxl - had the revolution for a couple of months and the vmod a couple of weeks), but I will say that it might be easier for you to offer any trouble-shooting type advice with a device that's more similar to the one you use. The major difference is that the boge revolution has a built in battery. It's twice the price of the Old Goat, but it is a lot more similar to what you use.

I think few people are recommending bottom feeders to newbies, but i think they should. :)

I don't think the learning curve is any harder, or frustrating, than leaking clearos, clearos that don't wick right, strange-tasting cartos or cartos that don't work, etc.

As it turns out, for me at least, bottom feeder + atty + juice may prove to be the simplest, and and most *idiot proof* for me.

I'll know soon. I'm only a month or so in, but already tired of fiddling around. I realize some people enjoy that, and for me it was "fun for a while." But I'm serious ready now to just have 2-3 all-day-vapes for juice, 2-3 juice vendors, and a hardware setup that I don't have to do stuff to like re-building wicks. It's just not anything I'm interested in doing .... but either is DIY. :)

Everybody's different. I just want to get on with it, so to speak. I don't see this as developing into a hobby for me, because I'd have to give up other hobbies to make room.......

I like bottom feeders though I'm not a fan of the tilt and shoot type. My only concern with recommending them to a newb is that they do have a learning curve even for someone used to dripping. A newbie's already going through a learning curve. I hesitate to add to it. Now if you're recommending it to people you know IRL where you can coach them a bit, that's a little different.
