Is there any reason not to use a empty plastic 48mg nic bottle for a mix ?

Nope, go for it!
Unless its all eaten away or something. Or if you plan on storing a caustic juice in it- any juice that will eat through a non-plus clearo(ce4,ce3,ce5)
