Ahoy! Here come da rain again.

Making desk caddies, need to get caught back up quick so I can hopefully close out pre-orders and get the batch started tomorrow.

Waho, I got your package, what brand of rba is this? - (Never mind, I found it) - It looks like a nice one and I can see that the size is even bigger than the Genesis Maxi that was donated to me last year. If this is typical I think I need to see if I can increase the tank holder holes on all the desk caddies by a little bit so they fit in even the smaller holes.

Thanks again, it helps so much to have something like this in my hands and as you all know I suck at keeping up with the changing vape accessory market, unfortunately :(

p.s., what juice used to be in here? It smells rather good.

Whew, 4 desk caddies done in two days, thats a new record.

On with the batch!

Nice way to get through a Monday though, so busy you don't even notice the time passing, heh.

Waho, I took a real close look at the rba, I think It will need a .9" hole to accommodate it which means another small change to the design. The mod will have to be slightly thicker after all or the tank well walls will be too thin and easily broken. Should be no problem except none of the current boxes I have cut out will work so I will cut a new box for a prototype this batch that's a bit thicker.

Been a long time since I did a 14 hour day, time to knock off. arrrr!

The A7 is great, but the only thing that bothers me on this one is the gurgling due to the air hole being on the 510 connector. Might be only me as a matter of fact, I only really tried one for like 2 hours, kept flooding the thing, had to vape through the gurgle for the reste of the time. ...... me off quickly and I went back to the Era. I have no patience for these things :D

You know it's weird but other then maybe right at first I never had an over filling issue. Actually on my new Cutlass 2 It almost under fills. I have to squeeze like a crazy to get it to feed sometimes. and I havn't quite figured that out yet.

Honestly though I am probably the only vaper in the world that doesn't mind gurgling.

Is the feed tube kinked anywhere between the bottle and atty connector? If I made it slightly too long it may have kinked a bit causing it to be hard to squonk?

A slightly gurgling A7 is the only way I vape, if it doesn't have a very slight gurgle when I vape I will squonk until it does, I love a nice wet vape.

Thanks for the advice Cappy. I don't know why I hadn't thought about it. But after your post I swapped the bottle and tube from my 5.1 and it squonks great. I guess the new bottle was just a bit tougher to squeeze. Combine that with the tube being sligltly to long and my fat fingers that bairly fit in the hole I was having issues. If I ever get the guts to do it I might just enlarge the hole slightly a well.

Arr, I guess the word to describe the feed bottle is 'robust', but I've never had one split or fail in any way.

Well, the boss was pretty mad, but I called in sick today, think I will go crawl back into me hole... arrrr ... uggg

Hope you get better soon Cappy.

Ahoy!

Back up to cruising speed today, everything seems to be ship shape and ready to go.

Been a busy week with various medical/dental appointments for me and the rest of the clan and trying to take care of shipboard business in the midst of all that, but sometimes a bit of chaos can be fun! Har har har...

This is the first batch of a new model so things will be going a bit slow, I also have decided to dedicate weekends to nothing but desk caddies again so I don't fall behind. Once again I wish I had a helper or two around here but as long as I'm dreaming I wish I had a million bucks and a sailboat heading t'wards the Caribbean!

Have a fine day me 'earties, arrr

Everyone is under the weather up my way as well. First cold snap of the year usually marks the beginning of the cold/flu season and wouldn't you know it, I'm sniffling along :(

We may have to try the Texas cold cure (courtesy of my online gaming Texan friend "Richardhead"), but modify it for pirates sake. Slam Jack Daniels until you black out (1+ fifth preferably) and the alcohol should kill all the bacteria and viruses in your system, leaving you with a headache but curing the common cold!

Pass the rum says I, Arrrr! :D

Arrr, what's the deal with suppliers lately? Everyone is out of everything....

Well, I've got alternate suppliers for everything I need so I got the buttons, catchcups, battery tabs, a single old style regulator for a repair and other misc on order now but I'm still waiting to hear back from Evolve concerning the DNA20 boards that they still show out of stock.

Other than that I look good to go now, just as long as I get the regulators when I need them for the batch.

Off I go again, just wanted to whine a bit, har!

Agree, pics would be awesome!

I totally forgot that I had to re-invent the Marauder model and make it a 22 mm inset, heavy duty mod so I spent the day on my CAD program and made all the necessary changes. I got a block cut out and sized and it will join the batch. Looks like I will have two prototypes to make, the Destroyer DNA20 and the Marauder, both with the 22 mm holes.

I wonder if I should just call the old Marauder model a Destroyer-3.7v or keep the Marauder name. So many blasted models it even confuses me at times.

Did I just hear thunder?? Blast !! yup I did ... stinking weather ..

The other day when I heard some thunder I shut down all the machinery and did paperwork feeling like once again I was missing out on valuable work time due to paranoia. Suddenly about an hour later the power dropped for half a second and I instantly realized how bad that would have been if the CNC machine was running. Vindicated!

Being paranoid about a power drop probably saved a mod body or panel. The CNC command program would have kept running on the computer as it has a battery, but the CNC motors on my little hobby machine would have hesitated for a half second or so and totally thrown off the pattern it was cutting and chaos would have ensued, arrr!

Oh look, the shop mascot (my dog) is drooling on my foot and shivering like a leaf ... what a surprise.

Anyhow, guess I can find some other work to do in the meantime, later all.

(Hope the boss doesn't find me watching anime during work hours again)
