The Koa looks amazing...what a wonderful piece of wood you got there Cappy! Good to see some Flame Box too, and I still love the simplicity and beauty of the Ebony... Another great batch!

I agree, there were some great choices in this batch, some of the best yet. That last one you mentioned is going to be a Black Walnut/Gabon Ebony with Jolly Rogers skull and swords. It's going to easily join the collection of 'evil' looking mods I've made.

Here is the rest of the batch. Most of them will be hitting the website sooner or later but they take a back seat to getting the pre-orders done.

Cutlass20, Cutlass20, Destroyer20, Marauder, 3 Cruisers ...

Ok, gotta run....

Ahoy!

It looks like the models offered next batch will be the same as pictured above. Cruiser, Marauder, Dest & Cutlass.

I was thinking of opening pre-ordering early this batch because it was open for over a week last time before I got enough orders for a batch. Maybe tomorrow afternoon if I can get everything ready.

One thing I have to figure out is that not all the body wood I have will be available for the 23mm inset mods. The Marauder & Destroyer are now a bit wider and I don't have Australian red mahogany or Black walnut that thick. I may be able to find the walnut but the Australian mahogany is a pretty rare find and I've not seen more for sale.

I will also have some ziricote bodies available for any model next batch, that should make for some exciting mods.

Arrr, end of another day.

I finally just fixed my ECF bookmark on my laptop at home. Every time I click it, it brought me next to Waho's old post. He's starting to feel like my third son or something I'm getting so used to it! Actually Waho, you do look something like my second son David with the beard.

Anyhow, I'm outta here. More RSM news tomorrow afternoon, to be sure!

Good morning crew!

Woohoo, 3rd son status! Perhaps a promotion is in my future? :D

We found a house that meets all of our ridiculous requirements that we're going to go look at hopefully this weekend. The only thing is I'm going to have to be damn sure how much the property taxes on 14 acres would be beforehand. Could be a deal breaker.

Whoa dude, not to mention taking care of that much property. Many years ago I owned a house on 10 acres and I mowed the front acre and a neighbor came in and cut hay for his horses from the other 9.

Post some pics of the new place if you get it.

Yet another busy day here today. I'm falling further behind but at least I'm still moving forward......

Ahoy!

Well, David is working on setting up the website for pre-orders, we have some last minute tweaks to do.

I'm also having a problem with offering Ziricote for body wood. The pieces I have are just wide enough for bodies, but....

When the door and back panels are cut out nearly all of the pretty ziricote painted grain is lost and you are basically buying a block of uniform generic looking wood for your money.

I think the best thing by far would be to cut them down into panel wood and use the pretty patterns as panels on a different body and not waste it.

For example, on the picture below the block is already cut to the dimensions of a mod. When I remove wood for panels it will only leave the outer edges intact, the rest will be lost. Seems kind of a waste to me fer sure.

So I will go ahead and do that. It will also greatly reduce the cost of the Ziricote I offer because I can get a couple sets of panels from each block.

Aside from all that, I am hoping to get pre-orders up and running within a couple hours.

Vape on!
