If I had money Cappy, I'd buy it for you in a heartbeat!

Landlord, I second what you say about the black walnut. It's gorgeous in person but in pics... I wouldn't pick it.

Yeah, it's a problem letting people see what they are actually getting, I don't think any of them look as good in a pic as in person. A great example is the Curly tiger maple, just full of 3d shimmers and ripples just like the curly red wood, but the redwood shows up and the maple doesn't. I think that is my new favorite, 4 of the batch are gonna be curly maple, big batch though, probably my biggest, yo ho!

Well, I just finally ran the first prototype of the Mark-10, except for a couple totally minor tweaks this thing looks good to go. I ran the prototype in curly tiger redwood and the thing is worthy of being added to the batch, I think I'm getting good at this stuff, har har har!

Well thar me bucko's, it be time to be relaxin' then hitting the pit, arrr

Another stunner in CNY, got the Mark 9 on my desk, usual DIY :)

Looking like a good day to take the afternoon off, start doing a window replacement project at home.

Building more of Mark 7? I posted a link to your site, someone was looking for a nice wood setup with embedded tank.

same with the black walnut... Pics don't do it justice at all...

hey guys i posted a picture of the black walnut, i dont think it is so ugly .. i'm not a photographer :D, all wood (like the rest) should be exposed to proper light that enhances the features.
i have not been able to do it, i'm sorry , but i really like my little guy, it's really beautiful! the photo is taken in full sunlight without flash, live colors are very warm and loads more, when i look at it i think of fairy-tale forests and taste of nature, maybe it's crazy but all wood mod of the captain inspires me very different emotions and contemplation.

.. and then it smokes like a crematorium with this hat of regenerable atomizer! :vapor:

Ahoy all, good afternoon.

Talkin' about black walnut? It is beautiful, one of the first woods I used and I always have some around that makes it into every other batch or so. I also like the black cherry and that makes it into the batchs about as often. Don't misunderstand, the exotics are great but sometimes the traditional are just as awesome, cherry, walnut, maple, all gorgeous.

Catching up on PM's then off to work we go, ohh rah ..

Ebay suddenly has alot of B&W ebony, few of it usable to me so far tho....except this one;

Black & White Ebony Wood 18"x8"x2" Guitar Billet Lumber Woodturning Shipped Free | eBay

I could probably get 9 mods out of it. About $25 above base price per mod isn't too bad?

Somebody buy it for me please? Awww, c'mon! Arrrr
I totally was like sure I'll buy some $25 wood for ya...Clicked the link, realized that wasn't what you meant  Sorry Capp, too poor.

By the way got my batteries and charger in. I am happy to say my Mark-7 Destroyer has replaced my VV tube mod as my all-day vape :D . I will post some pictures later this afternoon as I am swamped on this laser at work. Thanks so much Capt', I never thought I'd switch to box mods so readily, this piece is a work of art!

Ohhh.... Cappy! What are you going to call the Mark 10? Barque? Galleon? Brigantine? Argosy? Ballinger? Nave? Something else?

Oh, and, good morning!

I was thinking the "Marauder", it's a cool sounding name, but I am open to suggestions.

@Cheekymonkey, thanks for reminding me, I finished it I just have to ship the darn thing, got side-tracked. Should make your DIY life much easier :D

Break over, back to work I go, putting in some inlays atm, fun!
