Your Willie Nelson post reminded me of a time when about thirteen of us went to a "day of rock" in the Superdome. I don't know why but Willie Nelson was the Headliner....Kansas , Rossington Collins Band, Charlie Daniels Band and a few other acts played also.
Anyway, things ran late as they usually do at those kind of events and Willie didn't even start until about 1:30 a.m.
I looked down the row of seats where all of us were sitting and every one in my group was asleep
I woke them up and said lets go home
Why put Willie Nelson on last I'll never know.......his music, while good, I don't consider very "upbeat".
I remember he was singing...............very slowly, as he does......Blue eyes.................................................cryin'.......................................................in the rain.
That's when I woke everyone up
