Woohoo! Young blood in the group!

I hope collecting keeps vaping fun for you! I'm really thinking where you might find an itch, is in commissioning your own mods, completely custom from the top down, same thing for the atty/etc,.

I have never given thought to making them to sell but I am in the process of building some in my home shop for some friends. I recently bought a tooling lathe and a mill for my workshop at the house. I messed up a good block of silver experimenting but now I am working on one completely made out of platinum. I am going to make about ten of them, keep one for myself and give some away to friends of mine.

I really like the Nzonic IV design with the blue gem in the middle of the firing button. I am going to take that further with mine by placing a 4kt diamond in center of the firing button. I will post some pictures of it when I get it done. I just about done with the engraving on the tube now and am waiting on the gems from a friend of mine in Bombay who imports gems in to the US.

Woah! That is fantastic what you are doing for others, as that is more important now than ever and you should be so proud. I think maybe you were or are a smoker like most of us here and have discovered the most amazing thing that is so much better than smoking and so much better for you too! :) I myself smoked cigarettes for over 40 years and tried to quit many , many times without success and by using all the smoking alternatives & such along the way. Smoking wasn't causing any health issues with me but still wanted to stop and had given up until I found vaping and haven't smoked for over two years now. So as starting with the beginners levels of vape gear, I have progressed to many other levels and have learned a lot, so I'm now trying to do all my own atty coil builds & such and upgrade my devices and have some nice things that work well enough and my next phase is to learn the art of DIY juice and these are sure giving me something to do and I like getting into things and learn and maintain, I've always been a maintenance guy & do myself with whatever I can. Well, enough about me and I enjoy reading of what you are doing and all the vaping info, as I've discovered a world of vaping enthusiast's here on ECF like none other, so it doesn't surprise me of what you are doing but still think it is amazing and sure love that and thanks for what you do for other's and the animals & such and hey why not do the so good awesome things for yourself too!
I just moved recently to the Denver area, well I'm actually more closer to Boulder, in Westminster real close to Broomfield and lived in Evergreen for 30 years before that and definitely know the Highlands Ranch area and believe that's where John Elway lives too, guess you know with the Broncos and all! Well I better stop now (lengthy) but would love to hear more on everything and I have many questions and such and look forward to talking with you again and thanks again for all you do and please stop by here often and join in! :)

Thank you Dave I really appreciate the welcome. I have gone off the deep end with mods, I really love chasing authentic mods all over the world. I have ended up in the Philippines three times this year and a one trip to South Korea. I am going to Capetown next week after one of the mods that has really been eluding me, a first run Slug.

I was kind of surprised that you caught on about my computer threads as that is basically my sons thing. I have built six high end gaming systems (X79 and X99 Platform Quad GPU systems) this year and donated them all to local battered woman's shelters. I often donate to worthy causes and thought it would be nice to do something for this community.

This year alone I donated almost $90,000,000.00 to animal no kill rescues and woman's groups to help unwed and abused mothers. Please watch for me around Christmas as I intend to do a $50,000.00 give away - all cash prizes. Anyhow, I figure spending a little money on myself with these mods is not such a selfish thing to do.

I love the Denver area. My wife and I have a home up in Highland Ranch that we often go to in the winters when we get the urge to spend some time up in Aspen. Go Broncos....lol. Again, thank you for the welcome.

I smoked for almost forty years too. About five months ago I walked in to a discount tobacco shop to buy a couple of cartons of cigarettes and seen a guy puffing on a vaping device. I have always had a weakness for electronic gadgets so I bought a Itazte SVG with a decent tank. A couple of weeks later I was surfing Craigslist and seen an ad for a first run 4nine mechanical mod. I contacted the guy and met him at a vape shop that sells only authentic mods. Me and owner became quick friends and I ended up buying a first run Chi Megan from him and an authentic Tugboat RDA.

The guy that owns the shop was not doing very well, so I made it a point to go in and buy up just about everything he got in to the store. I bought countless mods from him and numerous rdas. Still even with my trying to buy him out he was stil struggling, so I ended up going to Houston on an listing I seen on eBay after the elusive Slug I was looking for. The guy over 30 mods himself and asked me if I wanted to buy the lot because his infant needed an ear operation. So I asked him how much he wanted for it all. He asked if I could do $25,000.00 and I agreed.

I could see the guy was in tears as he lovingly packed up his collection as his wife was consoling him. That brought me to tears so I had my wife ask his wife in private what mod he really did not want to part with. Of course it turned out to be the Slug. So I gave him the Slug back and another 25,000 dollars to make sure that the infant had everything he needed.

Taking the mods I already had duplicates of to my friend for him to sell to keep his shop going, still did not get him solvent I had to take business trip to Alabama and driving through I dumped my juice on the seat of my Ferrari, so I stopped in to a vape shop in Huntsville. Talkng to the vape shop owner he was telling me that he was going to be closing his doors. I asked him how much he wanted for his inventory, agreed and bought it. Now my garage is full of mods, rdas, tanks, juices, etc. and my friends shop here went out of business despite all of my attempts. To make matters worse my friend told me I would of done better just giving him a big check. Go figure.

Anyhow, now I got more mods than any sane person should have and I am still trying to find a first run Slug.....lol

The copper Viggo from Vapejam in the front is my favorite mechanical mod. I also like the black version also shown in the picture. Both have authentic Vapejam RDA's. The Chi Megan I mentioned is in the back row. These are some of my most prized mods. The Kryptonite was made for me by the owner of the company. It is number 006 of 024 in existence.

Sorry, I got off topic here and I am sounding like a bragger. I just love to talk about my adventures and mods. Please forgive me!

Wow that is phenomenal Tyger,(is Tyger what you go by?) My story is similar, except not really at all, except for smoking and that was a little different. If I had a lot of $'s it could be dangerous and as buying up shops, I could see myself doing that but OMG I could see myself going full bore too, with all the equipment and such! I see where you were talking about a lathe and mill, that's great and I used to operate these and others in machine shops for work & got pretty good and would love to have my own shop and now would really be a learning curve to learn all the new technology for sure. I can imagine what you are saying about having all these mods & such...wow I can only imagine if that was my main worry of having to many & such as that!!!!! But I can also see what I would do if I could and I think what you are doing with all this originality is great and why not do what you want to, I think It's fantastic and what you do for others and friends and such! I also see that sometimes you can try and help someone but what is help to some? You can give to some and that don't really help sometimes, it's hard to say what is best I think and even some aren't willing to take good advice even if that's what they really need but they will always except the $'s over anything, I'd say mostly But in this day and age what else and it takes a wise person to sort it all out and know the difference I think.
I hope you soaked up that juice out of the Ferrari, didn't sound good and as far having too much, I surely wouldn't worry about that, as long as ya got a good place to keep em and looking for that slug...why not? For what you have, if they end up controlling all of the E cig world with taxes and whatever, you'll have your own choices with what you have and do it your way, I like that! Love what you are doing here Tyger and who am I to say...I'm just saying and to put forth efforts to help the cause in the vaping world and ecf would be really great too! Thanks and good talking with you and good luck on your ventures! :) PS...I belong to this group:

into all the politics of vaping and I believe are help we need and are a very educated group along with it's members who are helping to protect our vaping community!

Woah Nice! Very nice! Why not brag? You are proud of em and I see why! :vapor: :thumb: Thanks for the pics! :) :toast:

@Super Dave, My dad had a machine shop when I was growing up so I learned quite a bit there before getting out of college. Are those two Chi Megan's in the picture yours? I see you have the hybrid top too. I have it in the packaging tube it came in but I have never tried it out. I was vaping on mine most of the day and just switched to a Skeleton Key.

I prefer the 2655O mods to the 18650's but I have more of the later verses the former. Recently I picked up a Kingpin by MVC from a friend I have made in Hawaii who has a great vape shop there. I am a supporting member of CASAA and I definitely believe in the work they are doing. Before long, I think we are going to see a lot of unwanted government regulation in vaping and I sure hope that somehow we will be able to keep it at bay.

Now this is bragging.....lol

Who remembers this one?

I DO! That's what I (we) was doing in the 60's, (well part of it) street racing...had a fast motor cycle (Triumph) at 16 plus my '55 chevy but in my prime of 18 I had a 1968 Plymouth roadrunner, 426 hemi that was really something. Wow sorry but I really get into cars & stuff and that song...great thanks Tyger!

Oh! You can do so, so much with a machine shop! And NO, that's not mine, just stole a pic from somewhere, I wish it was and I only have 2 real Mech's & a few other VV/VW's & some other assorted Pc's & atty's and such but I'm HAPPY and it doesn't make me to envious..................................................not! Haven't tried any 26550's yet and just try & get the best out of what I have so far & then hopefully will progress and I'm pretty good at maintaining and keeping what I have going anyway!
Yeah I think the CASSA is a good thing along with ECF and I really try and support ECF best as I can! :) You really have some great devices & gear & everything! Love it all & storage and all...I could go on & on & on..........

See, we are just normal folks!

Nice! Very Nice! And the cars too! Really, those are nice and the one looks like a Mustang and other looks like a Porsche and the bottom I see that horse and is a Ferrari of sorts? I have trouble figuring out cars these days, as in the past I could tell you most all makes, models and years. Really nice pic of you & Deb for sure, handsome, beautiful couple indeed! :p :)
