I filled my pre-filled empty cartridge (Mistic) with my VG 12 juice and let it sit for 12 hours....I have maybe vaped ...I did not exactly count but the vape seems to have diminished already...maybe less than 20 vapes....is that normal....Highbrow juice....my battery is charged (tested it on another cartridge)....any helpful hints or is this just the way it is....I may have not filled the cartridge enough (saturated it) I was scared of it overflowing into hole as the tutorial videos seem to stress....thanks again...I am new at this remember and just need some feedback....

How many drops did you use?

Not familiar with that brand but they look like 'standard sized cartos (maybe 3.5cm long?). Those things can usually take up to 1ml of liquid when they are completely dry but when you are re-using them there will always be some liquid left in the carto so they won't absorb quite as much. You could try starting off with 0.5ml and try adding a bit more each time until it nearly floods. If you do flood it, don't worry too much. Just let it stand for a few hours to absorb as much liquid as possible and then blow it through (into a paper towel) to clear the air tube. Don't try filling them when attached to your device though and make absolutely certain that there is nothing leaking before you start using them - liquid leaking into that type of battery will kill the auto switch very quickly.

I watched a youtube video on refilling the Mistic and it looks like it is quite a palava involving removing various intricate parts.

I have cartridge on my 510 ecig that simply pulls straight out the atomiser that you can just drip e liquid into and put it back in. As I top up quite often, i need an e cig that is easy to refill. I think some ecigs are not made to be ideal for refilling, only to buy new prefilled cartridges. Some cant be removed from the atomiser but you can use a syringe or needle cap bottle to drip into the cartridge without removing parts.

I only watched the video so I am no expert, and maybe it is one of those things that gets easier after being done a few times, it just looked like alot of effort compared to what refillable e cigs are like and in my experience you dont get that many puffs out of a cartridge of e cigs, so you wouldnt want to have to do anything too complicated to stay topped up.

Twenty puffs is probably about what i get out of a cartridge before i need to refill, I never did get as many out of any cartridge as the manufacturers tend to claim are in it. Maybe I puff hard, I dont know.

I started out with Mistics myself, and actually I still have them and they still work. Unfortunately I did kill one of the batteries by refilling while it was attached. Your problem most likely is that you are using 100% VG. Those cartos are intended for thin PG juice. They last a long time with the right juice, and I even cleaned mine by boiling several times. If you want to vape 100% VG, I would suggest taking the next step in vaping and getting an Ego battery with some clearomizers. Vg juice needs direct contact through dripping, or clearomizers. Basically anything with the polyfill is no good.

So I watched the video. They are missing an important step. After dripping additional liquid onto the poly you need to take top of the cartridge between your thumb and index and flick the cart hard to push the eliquid down and keep refilling it till full. Then put the rubber ring back in push the cover back and on and blow into tissue mildly to push out extra. This is the only way I have the mistic put out good vape after refilling. The mistic has very dense filling and when you down flick it down it barely absorbs. Hope this helps!

Going to at least 50vg/50pg is better with mistics:)

I did separate before filling....that is probably the problem it is not working since it is VG....so when you boiled the cartridge....does the filling not come out? do you just boil it for a moment? Would you let me know how you do that? Thanks a lot!!

Why not use the condom method it takes about a minute and you are ready to vape.

Remove the cap and the plastic ring inside.
Fill the condom that comes with the cartridge about three quarters of the way.
Slip the filled condom on to the cart to about where the liquid begins while holding the empty cartridge vertically with threaded end up.
Slowly move to a horizontal position while turning the cartridge to distribute the juice.
When the carto is empty or it doesn't seem to be absorbing more liquid take off the condom and blow through the end. Wipe the inside of the threaded end with a Q tip.
Put the cap back on and vape. I only put the hard cap back.
The whole process takes less that a minute.

The cartridge if empty it will hold a bit more than 3/4 of a condom but is best to play it safe when starting out.
