I have been asked to post a correction on some info from one of my earlier posts in this thread. I was misinformed and wanted to make a correction. In an earlier post I mentioned that Provape would replace your tube for a fee. This was not completely accurate. Provape may replace a tube on a device that is damaged in some cases. The operative work being "damaged". This repair may be done at Provape's descetion on a case by case basis and it is not intended for those Provari owners that just want a different color tube in place of the one they have now. That was never their intension.

I hope this makes things clearer. I would respectfully ask people not to flood them with requests to replace your device tube so that you can get a different color or finish as that is not a normal practice and those types of requests would result in effecting their production rates in a negative way.

Thank you everyone.

I ask that a moderator please close this thread.

There was a thread a while back where a guy stripped the factory finish, sanded, and then buffed and polished it to a mirror finish. It was beautiful. No repainting necessary for that.

I think he should try that route. sand it a bit more and drop down to some fine grade sand paper. Maybe use a dremel attachment to get into the grip grooves. Would turn out as a cross between the standard finish and the chrome finish, I think it'd look good.

Found the thread with picks of the polished Provari...

Looks identical to the Chrome to me, minus the Provari logo.

I think that looks pretty good. In pictures it looks like chrome but in hand I'm sure it doesn't. Polished steel has a noticeably different look than chrome in person IMO.

It's possible but time consuming.
I've done it to tanks that I have but I used an industrial buffer to do it - I certainly wouldn't want to do it with a Dremel.
