Thanks, bud! I am not gone yet, and I'll always be around in some capacity even if just through PM (and maybe making blog posts). My problem is that I get caught up in, enjoying, and starting conversations--too many to tend to (my subscription lists grows longer by the day).
Anyway, I got going on a new atty today just because of all the talk about bridge vs. bridge-free and de-bridging. Since I have a ProVari, I will likely always start lower than I plan on taking an atty--that's how I roll and that is perfect. However, in terms of the primer, that is something that we all have to deal with if using these attys. I tried something new today with great success.
Of course, with the primer, I blew it all out, blew it all out, blew it all out and then checked it, and then blew the damn primer out! Now, what I normally do is vape a stronger juice at low voltages so as to not be
vaping at high heat with a light juice and nasty primer as a back drop. Today I decided to take a much more passive approach then toughing through it.
It's simple: 1) The juice I planned on
vaping first, I added about 6 drops (essentially flooding the atty) and left it for an hour or so; then I returned to it and blew it out 2) I did that again for about an hour 3) Then I did that one more time (but only dripping the necessary amount) and then vaped.
My first puff on my 2.2Ω Joyetech atty and the flavor tasted absolutely perfect.
My goal was to make sure that the wicks, which had been saturated with primer for who knows how long, had been replaced with juice. I got to thinking about what DC2 said today as I always consider every position. The notion that bridge attys retain more juice (in general, but not in relation to HHs) is true. I just gave my wicks extended periods to absorb juice and repeating a couple times ensured that my first vape was going to be (or at least I hoped) spot-on.
We all need to vape in the ways that works for us. Nobody has your palate but you, your specific likes and dislikes but you, so finding your own way through all of this should be personal. As long as your not
vaping the wrong end of your battery, and what your doing is keeping you away from cigarettes, you are doing a bang-up job. Vape on.
p.s. I will always use Joyetechs even if having other JDSs. In response to what DC2 has said about debridging, I must say that I do love these little boogers too much to be hacking at them--Iv'e done it a few times, and it
is a crude tactic, though it works. I am only going to vape harder NETs (the ones with heavy particulate matter) with my bridge-free attys. Win/win.
