I find that the flavor of premiums on my battery will last significantly longer than on my PT. After reading some other threads I kinda get that. The premium cartos burn much hotter than the originals and were designed to give the high voltage experience to regular battery users.
Turn up the heat on any liquid and it's ingredients will either evaporate or caramelize [sp]. I don't see it as a design flaw so much as a consequence of trying to appeal to a larger audience. I think that why I get the popping and sometimes a little residue when the carto is fresh.
Regarding the juice issue, it's happened to me as well. On the old ones, it was an indication that the O-Ring was either upside down or missing. The premiums don't have O-Rings so I'm thinking that perhaps it's been overfilled. When I get that first taste, I take a kleenex and blow the excess juice out, wipe the threads and if possible, remove the cap and wipe it off.
It doesn't happen often; maybe 1 out of 50. When it does happen, the others in the box will be the same way. It's an inconvenience for sure, but keep in mind that these things are filled and covered by hand. Humans do make mistakes, especially if they are under pressure to meet a quota. Even the most stringent quality control is not going to find all of the mistakes when a factory is trying to churn out 50 to 100,000 units each day.
I'm not trying to be a V4L apologist or fanboy or whatever other term is floating around. My experience tells me that these things always will occur in any new industry. For example, my first PC was a 286. When Windows was first introduced it crashed so often I went back to DOS or analogs (paper and pencil). ---Now thinking about that first 10meg hard drive and how I thought I'd never fill it---
So now you know, I'm a PC (KR808). Are you a Mac (901), Linux (501) or or one of the other OS? BTW: before the Internet we didn't need antiviruses.
