Removing fire button from the DNA chip ?

I stumbled across this tutorial and part of it tells you (and shows you a picture) tells you how to remove the fire button from the dna chip using nail clipper. I didn't see anywhere in the tutorial where it's explained why this should be done. Has anyone seen this done before? Is this normal? This tutorial has been really helpful, by the way. If you'r making your first mod as well, do check out this tutorial. Pictures are great and if you have no idea what you are doing, it will put you at ease. Anyway, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I remove the onboard fire button just to make the board slimmer and easier to fit into a confined space, 0.34" down to 0.26" thickness (8.7mm - 6.6mm).

you dont even need nail clippers, i usually just flip up the metal tabs on the sides then just disassemble.
