Yep - I can't live without the meters now. I have one on my desk at work and it sure beats either guessing or whipping out a multimeter in front of startled onlookers.

no, 'multimeter' is not code, Rick, Rattler, and FB

YIKES!!! I do pray that you don't have the habit of whipping out the ol multimeter!!!

When you get the Reo a couple of things to do before your start vaping.

Apply noalox to the firing pin and top of the spring. The firing pin is the gold color positive contact. With the door off press the button and you'll see it bend down and come out of the black delrin insert inside the Reo. Look for this little bottle that will come with the Reo, it is the noalox.

Next you'll want to cut an inverted V in the tube that is inside the bottle. This will keep it from suctioning to the bottle. I've found a sharp paring knife works great to cut the tube.

the rba (re-buildable atomizer) your going to get will come with an o-ring, this goes on top of the Reo around the 510 connection so it will be trapped between the reo and the rba when the RBA gets screwed on.

:D No Problem I'm happy to. jbarrick you mentioned you already have 28ga wire, what have you been building?
I bought a cheap dripper to learn how to build my own coils. It is a dual coil, but I have been doing only single. My MVP 2 doesn't have enough power for the dual. 10/11 wraps 1/6 drill bit. It is at 1.7 ohm's atm. Cotton and rayon wick.

IMR is the key identifier you want - it's a 'safer chemistry' battery - rather than protected.

This one is the one generally more preferred because of it's higher amp rating...

AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mAh - RTD vapor

Make sure to get the 1600mah and not be tempted to get the 2000mah. The 1600 has a higher maximum amperage draw it can handle and actually last longer for us.

When they test batteries, they test run time down to 2.5 volts. But we end up pulling them out to get charged at around 3.7 volts because the performance really drops when you go lower than that. The 2000 drops to 3.7 faster than the 1600 but then last longer all the way down to 2.5. So the 1600 last longer between charges for our use.

Perfect you've got that learning curve beat already. I'd suggest you start with a 8/9 wrap. On the Reo, I think you will be surprised by the performance.

Where do you set the watts/volts on the MVP?

Love it when a plan comes together :)

Jeff, you are welcome in here any ol' time you want. We're of the "this thing is great" mindset, not the "this thing is better than yours" or "why you little... how dare you?" ones. It's all good - it's just better where we live (great devices, great supporters, best manufacturer on the planet). Always room for one more.

Your post was sincere, honest and without malice so you'll always see the good folks of REOville respond. In the past we have had individuals who's sole purpose was to take cheap shots and stir trouble. They have been escorted out of town tarred and feathered. With sheriff Lisa around we don't do that anymore but a few of us still meet in secrecy.

Welcome to Reoville! When I switched I was doing 7 to 8 watts on 2 ohm dripping attys, So I really think 1.2 or 1.3 ohms is going to be a perfect place to start and then adjust from there.
