I was wondering if anyone has had good success with the dual coil 1.5 ohm xl cartos on a reo.

I tried one when I first got my mini, but has big issues with vapor production and flavor. I didnt have much patience and quickly swapped to an atty.

I have been thinking of trying this again, but wanted some input before I gave it a try.
I know people have lots of people have success with boge 2.0 or 1.7 ressurectors.

Any input would be great!

I've used the dual coil xl's no problems on both mini and grand. What is the mix of your juice? If its a higher vg mix maybe its having problems nicely soaking the larger capacity filling.....although I was using mine with a 70/30 vg/pg mix and found it was ok. Are you soaking the filling enough? I find the xl's a bit of an overkill though. A regular sized carto is all you need since you're carrying around a 3ml bottle of juice with the mini anyway.

To be honest with you. I HATE DCC at 3.7V and as you've noticed. The vapor production is horrible. This is because there isn't enough power for the two 3 ohm coils that's in the carto. If you wanna use a DCC on your mini then I highly suggest you get a few pairs of 14250's:

IFR 14250 3.2v

This will make them perform like beasts but, you will be limited with the juice that you can use with it at this point. Since it's running so hot. You would need to use either very strong flavored, tobacco, or menthol type flavors. Which shines and hold their flavor at HV.

Agreed with washvap.

I tried the ego mega DC on my stock ego and was thinking it was okay but nothing spectacular.
Tried it on my 5v box mod and wow what a performance difference. I also had 1 with RY4 (which rocks) and 1 with TV Tastyfinger and wasn't as impressed with it.

I have yet to try it on my woodvil as it doesn't quite fit properly as the threading is not sticking out.

Your gonna have to use an ego - 510 adapter in order for you to use it on your woodvil. The feeding isn't going to be exactly the same but, it'll work.

Yeah I was going to give it a try but the 510 extender I have right now has no vent/feed hole so it makes using it kinda pointless ATM.

I am looking forward to giving it a try once I get one in.

Yeah still not having much luck with the dual coils at 3.7. Pretty sure there just isn't enough power. Swapped to a lr 2.0 boge and working great

It's the batts for certain. Their amp-output cannot give what the DC is asking. You will notice a BIG difference with the recommended AW IMR 18650. :)

EDIT: If you are talking about a REO Mini using a 14500 TrustFire / UltraFire protected batt.. The DC is WAY too much stress on those.. Grab a few AW IMR 14500's... ;) :)

where could i get a 5v battery to fit the Reo grand? I didnt know they made one

Im using some 1.5 ohm Mega Dual Coils from CCV (I think they're Smoktech), with a 5V battery and its been great. I've been using this carto since Friday and vapor production and flavor is nice.
