I'm a new REO Mini owner, and love to research. For me, the upfront part, reading and learning about a new passion (in this case vaping), is the best part of an impending acquisition.

It occurred to me while reading about folks' REO-collecting hobbies that we might also have other hobbies as well. Count mine as photography (am now "de-acquisitioning" much of my equipment, due to an upcoming move), jazz music, including the history and practice of, though I'm not a musician), and drawing and watercolor painting.

I'm also interested in EDC, which is everyday carry. Most of us do it--it involves the interest and practice of being prepared in our everyday lives. If you don't usually leave the house without a wallet, keys, and a cell phone, you carry!

Of course, folks here now add REOs and vaping supplies to our EDCs. Hope to hear from others about their interests and carry practices!

Thumbs up for Leathermans. I have a small CS Style that I put in my pocket every morning. I use it several times a day--mostly for opening packages. Yesterday I opened a 30-lb. bag of dog food with it. Going on a weekend trip, and trying to figure out the best way to pack my REOs, juice, and charger. I like to keep things compartmentalized, so I don't end up tossing everything into a big pile, only to sort out the confusion later!

Reo Grand & now mini as well, keys, Glock, 3 magazines, Colt and 4 magazines, kbar, flashlight.... My hobbies are shooting, firearms and custom airbrushing on them and refurbishing, I volunteer as a RSO for Conceal Carry classes, working on getting my state law enforcement certification for firearms instructor. I am now working on my own AR-15 project, just finally gathered all the parts and will be painting it all up :)
I also am a huge animal lover, I have a Dog, she is on my profile, cats and even PET chickens, they are named and they know thier names :D

Besides vaping supplies I generally leave the house with a swiss army knife, flashlight and a P38 can opener. I do keep a fully stocked backpack,(with food and water) boots and blankets in the car. Figure that if I get stranded in a snowstorm I can at least keep warm.

I became the reluctant co-owner of a pit bull puppy about 3 years ago. My son brought her home and hid her from me for awhile. She has become the best dog I've ever had. Smart and easy to train. Intimidating to look at, but very friendly. She's basically a big old baby.

I like to play around with photography too, and I like to read.

Oh, and I like to collect Swarovski crystal pieces.

I have a fully packed backpack in my car, too, just in case. You never know during Chicago winters, and it can come in handy during other situations too. I think I'm sort of over-the-top in my EDC (everyday carry). This fall we bought a camper van to just in case. You know, in case I have to run away. With my REO, which, by the way, kept me happily vaping during a 5-hour trip home from Door County, Wisconsin this weekend.

I'm a reo collector wannabe (only 3 in my collection so far boohoo).

Being a seeing eye person for my blind little pooch who is my avatar. I'm also a reptile enthusiast who is owned by 4 beautiful snakes and 1 tortoise. I brake for snakes :)! Being as close to (and in touch with) nature as I can. Other than that I lead a very simple existance.

movies, books, web surfing
My leatherman is a wave as well! They are absolutely awesome! I cant stand the ones you have to open up to the pliers to use the knife. Its the #1 thing used on a leatherman, why hide it in a mess of stuff? it would be like if Rob put the atty connection on a reo inside the box behind the bottle

The Wave is cool. I had purchased an accessory kit with 8 or 9 double ended bits. Last week I gave the Grand a bath and I had never taken the spring out and I thought it would be a good idea to run some Noalox around the screw. Mine is an old Grand and you need a .5 ml allen key. I happen to look at those bits for the Wave and there it was. Its nice how everything on it locks when opened and how you can open the knife blades one handed so you can vape at the same time. :p

Here's my Wave
