There was no need to alter the DW's on them, they work just fine on any of my 5 older Woodvil's with the VAC's just screwed in like any other small footprint atty will. These are 2013 VAC's drilled for my VLLH's, with no AFC's.

ETA: A quickie, not so good picture..... (camera batts almost dead, no flash).

I forgot the difference between the 2013 and 2014s. Mine is the larger 2014.

Black Palm canbe hard wood to work with, even exhibition grade. Hidden white rot areas to deal with, making sanding/finishing a very long process, and the "rods" easily splinter into thousands of needles that will pass through clothes into you body easily. It was an especially nasty wood to turn on my lathe... I looked like I'd had a long fight with a porky and lost the fight.

You added a pic, what are those? They are all gorgeous.

These are enclosed reed animal calls, but I also made open reed calls and howlers. I made them for well over 50 years for the ADC I did for landowners as a hobby, and some for friends. Three of these are from very rare woods... two of them that you haven't been able to get for many years now, the third you still can but very rarely in this highest grade. Any of them would probably make a nice Woodvil, maybe even the black palm if a builder tolerated the wood. I have plenty of wood that would though without dealing with the BP.

These are all predator calls (so get reeds made/tuned to mimic different prey species), but I also made "attractor" calls to call in many species of birds/animals. They are all wood except for the enclosed reeds. Now if I could tune a reed to lure a bunch of new Reos to my place... :) Back to the Reos....

Those are just gorgeous. You do fine work, sir. When you get the Reo call made and working, don't tell anyone until you have a herd ;)

I distinctly remember that Ebony beauty! Had my finger on that one but got beat to the punch!
Rob hooked me up with my Koa. :)

Very, very nice!!:p
Thank you Rudy & everyone. She is really smooth & in great shape! I will be sending her to the spa for the gold contacts when Rob gets more in a few weeks. That will be the only alteration. I am hoping for one more Reo from the new sale, and my family will be complete with four.:)
Looking good Mrs C.:2cool:

I'm holding off the wood run and will be lurking for the Resin run. I'm hoping Rob will be getting his imagination going and be able to make a Ebony looking mod made from Resin !! I am too hard on my woods. Not treating them rough but I guess taking them to the beach all summer last year with hot days and cool moist nights did a number on my Koa and my ladies purple heart/ birds eye maple. We both got major door warpage. :( It's taking all the willpower I have to not pull the trigger on a new woody so when I can't stand it any more I look at my warped Koa to remind myself...wait, be patient, Resin is coming. :) If I got a new woody I KNOW I wouldn't be able to put it down and leave it home on weekends when I go to my cottage.
