^ hell yeah. That's what I'm talking about. The smart money is in buying two same size REOs and mixin and matchin doors :)

Do you mean like just now Plaz?

Naw, a few weeks ago. My duo is in my avatar -- the one on the right is a twin of yours above. But now you've got me thinking I should get a black wrinkle grand with a silver hammertone door... LOL

You are so creative with your REOs! Do you only purchase the white versions -- then do your magic?

I have an all white VV Grand that I "play" with....and I have a black VV Grand with a Metallic Blue door that I sometimes play with. The black one, for instance, is what I decorated for 4th of July. (Duct tape on the whole door. LOL) I change it up quite a bit on the white door. Already "undressed" the 4th of July door....and I just change out the white every now and then and snap a new picture, use it for a month or so, then change it again. I have pictures of all the different decorations, but I don't have that many doors. I mean, I don't have a bunch of decorated doors.....I just keep changing things up on the one white door. I'm always checking out stickers at Walmart, Target, and the DollarTree store! LOL

I didn't realize the decorations were stickers -- I thought you were painting your REOS. The stickers are great idea!

Morning Jan and all. Love your embellishments!! I want to make my own decals using printable vinyl. I saw in the thread "Show Us Your Pretty Pink, Girlie......" that someone recommended using a clear laminate over DIY ink jet printed decals. I'm fairly sure the rub off ink issue doesn't happen with premades but wanted to throw that out for FYI for peeps.

Question Jan. Do the premade decals leave any residues when you removed them? If so, what do you use to remove that without damaging the powder coating on REO?

Another FYI. I used to use repositional wall decals on cartos and attys and they withstood many boilings on the attys that I cleaned by boiling. I cut small pieces from large patterns. Are any of the tiny decals you use "repositional"?

No....no damage at all. The residue (if there is any) just wipes right off with my thumb. LOL

Actually, I use little vinyl stickers and they're all repositional, except that they get distorted and sometimes torn when I take them off...so it'd be hard to reuse them. I reposition them when I first put them on to get the look I want....sorta. I mean I can "fix" a mistake. Once I use the REO with them on it for awhile, they get pretty set. They moving them would be harder.

They're just little stickers used mostly for Scrapbooking....that's the section of the store they're always in....and I make sure to get the plastic-y/vinyl ones (versus the ones with paper on the back) because they're easier to remove....and they're flatter. The ones with paper on the back stick up a little more. These really stick, and there are about a million to choose from. They come in sheets with several (all sizes) on a sheet for anywhere from $1 to $3. It's just fun. When I get tired of one design, I peel it off; wipe the door down; and apply new ones. I don't use alcohol or anything to get the residue off...no need at all.

Oh, and they make some really cool duct tape these days. Have several designs of duct tape....just put it on the door, cut around it, and voila! Very easy to remove....no damage at all.

My stickers.

Impressive.

Do they come in little letters also? You can probably tell how little time I spend in stores that aren't food or hardware.

Yes.....letters. I don't have any of those, but might be fun to try some.

Quite proud and relieved. SPIFFY DUDE VVG Black Anodized/White Powder Coat Door, RM2, Flat Referee Trippy Tip.

Picture taken moments after he took a dive off of railing, plunge below to rocks, 10 ft down. (He blames it on the wind.) Only a pin head ding on bottom edge back side.

{edit} I think he was scared and bolted because the hot tub was only 5ft away. He hasn't learned to "swim" yet.

I'd like to add that my VV Woodvils are not allowed to "swim." They can't be soaked up-side-down in high percentage isopropyl alcohol like the metals can.

It's probably only a matter of time before a VVW takes a plunge into some body of liquid. They take after mom and ARE fiesty. I will attempt an alcohol douch instead of bath and report results. But working hard to reason with them that they are not good "swimmers.":banghead:
