My REO family ...so far
REO_fam.jpg

Black Wrinkle VVG, Black Wrinkle/Silver Vein Grand, Black Wrinkle/Silver Vein Mini 2.1

In case you can't tell, I love the black wrinkle, RM2's, and amethyst Ming drip tips :)

The Grand just came home from the post office tonight, and is happy to be in his new home. I've Kicked him, but will probably take it out and stick with the 18650's until my Kickstand comes in.

Now to find a spot in the rotation for the Grand. VVG is currently for in the car (easier to squonk), and home at night. Mini is for at work. I'm thinking VVG for at home, Grand in the car, and Mini at work.

my new brass RM2s with there fancy new brass tips

Really fine looking sonny. Just want everyone to know that, once again, pictures just don't usually do justice to how beautiful our REOs look all spiffied up. And with the brass the parts are more matchy matchy in person. I'm liking my brass RM2s on many of my metals, too. Brass on Copervein is perfect. I'm even liking the brass on Silver Anodized better than Chrome.Damn, just realized this may create more demand and more work for Robert.

I love vapemail! I feel a little spoiled that this is my first Reo

Most of us feel pretty spoiled no matter the REO. And it's hard to not feel smug about our brilliance choosing REO.

Congrats. That is an especially gorgeous Woodvil!!!!

Looks like a Birdseye Maple Burl to me.

I remember some confusion way back because some of the later birdseye looked more red than earlier ones. My Birdseye Mini Woodvil is light cream. I'm leaning towards birdseye, too, despite the reddish color.

I have seen Birdseye Maple BURL in hand. It is almost the same color as the Redwood Burl.

The Birdseye Maple I have is a lighter blonder color.

Come to think of it, the last VVW I picked up on classies has the red birdseye door.

Birdseye door second from right.

Lighter Birdseye far right. It's lighter in person than shows in picture. Fourth from left Figured Redwood.

Is the 3rd one from left Cocobolo? Looks like it but can't quite tell as my eyes are watering up at the site of such a beautiful collection! :)

Yes, Cocobolo Mini. It has stayed pretty red vs turning brown as it has been exposed to very little light. I have a coat of Howard's hard paste wax with UV protection on it but I still like to protect it from light.
