I'll add one more little tip.

For those of us living in the humid zones, Put a little Johnston's paste wax (Bowling Alley wax) on the grooves of the door and the sides of the door itself. Just put a little on and wipe it off. Think of this as NoLox for wood. I would NOT recommend a spray wax or anything else.
Yes, you could wax the whole unit with this stuff, but you would not be able to hang on to it -- think bowling alley;)
Remember, wood is a living thing, it expands and it contracts. With a little wax, the door will always slide smooth as silk. Re-apply when necessary.
