As some of you may know I've been on the hunt for a mate. (I look kinda wolfy so mate is a good term )

Well, I asked a lady out tonight. She's going to call me Sunday or so and set something up. Got some other good news, not great but good, but can't share it publicly.

It's been a great day for me! Hope it has been for y'all too.

I know you were on match.com or some dating site. There's an art to writing profiles for those or for personal adverts. One of the best i ever saw was:

Hey guess what? I mentioned I got an actual response from one of my Representatives last night at 1:00am regarding a CTA to prevent absurd taxation of vaping products. Very positive.

Well, I got another from another of my Reps. Again very positive. They are confident that they are going to shoot the governors bill down and there will be no extra taxation. I was pretty firm in my initial response to the CTA, I put my story up front and suggested they tax Lamborghini's first and stop trying to make up for lost sin taxes on a product that is not appropriate. I gave them a piece of my mind and explained how I've been able to quit smoking for over a year and I am less of a burden on the state than before. Why, therefore, add sin taxes on a product/products that will help reduce state costs.

Long and short of it, it worked.

Don't thing so. Reps are republicans, gov is democrat. They ain't working together too much.

Actually, the lady I asked out (sorry, girl, I'm from the south and where I grew up you were always a boy or girl till the day you died. Unless you were really old and then they couldn't hear anyway so it didn't matter... I jest, I have the utmost respect for my elders. It's just that they're disappearing and I seem to be taking their place ) Anyway, she wasn't from match.com. Someone local I know who runs the acoustic jam group I go to. Talented, smart and a real sweetie.

I think she was surprised when I asked her, but my buddy who had been to the jam sessions said right off the bat I should ask her out. I can't figure people out well so I was hesitant. But I placed my bet and took my chances. I'll keep y'all posted.

Once again, you speak the truth. There was no faint heart tonight. It's something I'm working on but not being able to read body language or read between the lines is an issue I've had all my life. So it makes it hard to do some things. But, as always, I am trying to overcome some of the stumbling blocks in my life. And practice makes perfect. It's also the road to Carnegie Hall. You never know.........

Ah, I see you have the boy and possibly the girl thing down as well. Cool. Never mean to offend anybody but in my opinion if you call a female a girl it's like I'm 50 years younger and so are they. Women I've known I wouldn't let tie my shoes..... Oops, sorry, what I meant to say was that women I've known have no problem with it. Sorry, some old Rod Stewart got in there
