hey buddy you sleep well ?

Yes, actually. Thanks for asking. I ate dinner at what is "normal" dinner time and then fell asleep.

Edit: now I'm gonna party all night. Lifting my glass up to those joining me, with tequila or otherwise :)

do you still do "ugly" coils with RxW? gonna give RxW another try the next time i feel a tad less lazy

Yep - it's a simple deal Dennis - make your coil on something first - a screw or a needle. Do NOT wrap a coil straight on the RxW - it'll kill it.

As you know - counting to 9 for a microcoil is too much like hard work, especially if i can count to 3 and have a career as a wrestling referee.

You're way too energetic. I just keep pulling the wicks out and dry burning then until they break.

Crap, nothing to mix the tequila with, Oh well, shots are good too.

That's about what I do lol I almost dryburned this one earlier today, but the coils didn't look bad, and it was vaping good, now it's dropped off a tad, so reckin I'll do that tomorrow. <<tossin ya a couple cans of Dr. Pepper>>

Hi T,

That's twice recently you mentioned wrapping RxW directly will mess it up (once being in response to my query.) Do you have some personal experience here you're not sharing?

My coils are ruined after about 2 weeks i reckon.

They will clean and dry burn just fine, but they are only tasty thereafter for a day or two and i find they clog faster. After about 2 weeks of use i just make new ones. But i run 24 or 26g wire and really low resistances.

If you are a total cripple i'll make coils for you Dennis, just because you're an old fart i like!

Some secret formula? Nope - i tell you all as it is.

If you wrap directly onto RxW as if it's silica, you will get nothing like the longevity from it. Naturally the thinner it is, the more pronounced the damage is and that is why i recommend making a coil first and threading the wick into it.

Dennis has no RxW because he's not as lazy as me, but the point is that treated properly you can get a lifespan from wicks you'd never imagine with cotton. My wicks are 2 months old currently and have been thru 4 changes of coils.

i have both sizes of RxW, but the last time i tried threading it into a coil, i failed miserably. (yeh, i tried cutting an angle, juicing the end, "screwing" into the coil)

i want to give it another try cuz i'm too lazy to rewick often, and half the time when i re-wick, i damage the coil

Took me awhile to wick a coil with it. Only have done it once. That's the part I like. I just kept trying to screw it in, pull it out, try again and it seemed like it would never go but it did. Just have to be persistent with it.

How ya doing by the way?
