Thanks fleet! Good afternoon fellow Reonauts!! Gonna get going here soon, off to try and catch some LM Bass.

We'd have to break through the ice to do any fishing up here. I love fishing. My favorite fishing down south is catfishing at night. Bring food, cooler full of beer and catfish all night. Then, when the sun starts to come up, go for the bass :) Good times and I'll do it again I'm sure. I'm a master catfisher.

Edit: and humble too! :)

Hey T,

Quick question for you: I saved your earlier post about what you use for 3mm RxW. I want to do an ugly coil with it. Not micro. Make the coil on a drill bit but with the coils spaced out? This all has to fit in an RM2.

If you have any advice, it would be much appreciated.

Edit: I have 28, 30 and 32 Kanthal. Looking for 1.2ohms or higher....

I use 30g for HRH and she vapes at 1.25-1.5Ω For 3mm RxW, i wrap on a 7/64" drill bit. 4 wraps will get you a tad higher than 1.2Ω.

Make and fit the coil first and then screw the wick in - wet it if you have to.

Of course! Mine are too big to be micro - i run the 3mm RxW too. My really spaced ones used to look like this:

(these are duals from 32g, but you get the idea)

They are also wrapped straight onto silica wick, NOT RxW @ $1.50 an inch - which is why for that i say to make the coils first :)

Once again thank you sir. And maybe you can explain to me why red cards fly all the time in football? Is that just part of how the game is played, stomp on your opponent? :)

That was 5mm silica, which i found to be about the limit of what i could stuff in a RM2 - but the reason i used it (it was my ADV for ages) was because 4 wraps was dead on 1Ω

It's also a dual with no drilling needed to your atty topcap and takes all of 5 minutes to make and fit. Because i am lazy!

That coil looks awesome, a spaced parallel coil?? Idk why I haven't tried that, maybe this next time I need to rebuild, I'll keep this in mind and try the T coil. I only have 26 and 24g left for now, I need to reorder 28g and probably get a spool of 30g.

I roll with 26 and 24g too these days and they are 'normal'(?!) dual coils, but i run bigger atties than RM2's mostly. Since i have to make HRH's coils, it's handy to know a few easy builds to shut her up get her the vape she likes.

Well, maybe you, Dennis and myself... And I'll include others who wish to wear the crown of laziness, should create a thread like the lounge for lazy people. Of course, I won't be posting. Or reading. :)

Fleet, I love spreadsheets. Here is the coil spreadsheet I refer to all the time.

I had a little mishap last week with my Kanthal. I was going to tighten it on the spool and the darn cat grabbed it and ran off the kitchen table with it. I have a mess and am thinking of just buying new Kanthal. I have always used 28 in the rm2. Should I try something else. I normally shoot for around 1.2Ω.

Yeah, I'd try what T said, contain it, find the end and find a way to keep it separate from the rest as you cut off pieces. I'm going to try the 30 gauge that T suggested. For me though it takes a foot not 3" to get the coil I want when I'm done. I'm a sad case. :)

I'm about the same way when it comes to my coils - usually pull off about 6" at a time, toss 3" of it, and end up having to make a 2nd one because I goofed the first one. I'm really interested to see how coil wrapping will be with the RM2. Right now I'm wrapping coils for my Mutation X v3 with 26g at 1.2 Ohms and my Magma with 28g at around 1.5 Ohms - but both of those have larger decks. I'm excited!

RM2 is so easy it's a laugh! Whether you use microcoils or just some rough ones like HRH's (don't tell her, else she'll demand fused Claptons and i'm not in the mood!). Cut one leg shorter, bend each leg into a 'j' shape at the end - 2 minutes!

You'll see what i mean about the 'j' shape because one RM2 post is closer to the sidewall. Best thing about that atty? Ceramic deck. You can lie a coil on the deck and it'll not short. So one less thing to go wrong.

For those who may have followed my earlier posts on helping my sister vape instead of smoke, I bring you the latest update:

I decided on ego batteries with Aspire K1 Glassomizers for ego threads and some juice that I use. She ordered all that and it was under a 100.00 bucks. That's with replacement heads, 5 attys, 2 batteries and a month of juice. Maybe less than a month since she's just starting.

She received everything weeks ago and finally, today, we hooked up on the phone to get her set up. She knows nothing of e-cigs so I had to show her how to charge the batteries, how to replace the coils when that became necessary, and how to fill the attys. Of course, she's 500 miles away so this was over the phone, hehe.

She didn't know what was what so I had her lay everything out on a table, take a pic and then email it to me. Now I knew what she had and where it was placed so I could tell her what was what :)

She got it all working, had her first vape. And she liked it! But she won't quit until she finishes the packs of stinkies she has. When I got my first kit I set it up and never smoked since. And my first kit was far worse than hers :) I hope this will help her and she has the desire to make this happen. I've done what I can......
