Hi everyone,

Just came back from a holiday in France, firstly, great amount of vape shops in most towns there!
Visited a shop there and the guys were really impressed with my Grand.

The one guy has been eyeing the Reo for ages and this was the first time he got to see one and try it out. He was very impressed and interested in getting one. Got his details so will be trying to source one for him from here or somewhere else in Europe.

Oh that's great!!! The best bet would be to contact Rob......he can tell you places in Europe that he deals with if there are any, that way the guy doesn't get a knock off. If there aren't any, Rob can help him get everything he needs all at once, so he only needs to pay one shipping charge. You can either Pm Rob, (Redeyedancer) or call him.

Hey guys. I can finally say that I've officially joined the REOVille, Bought an used Reo Grand LP and threw a LowPro on it, vapes amazingly well! I do still use my iPV3 Li more than the Reo I have due to preferences, but Reo is still an impressive bit of vaping gear, which I'm happy to own :)

Welcome to the family!!! that's wonderful!! Be sure to get on the Reo roll call Reo Roll Call

for the topper, do you mean an LP RM2 or something else? What is it that you prefer about the other one? I'm bettin folks can help you get the Reo vaping as well or better than whatever else you're using. Nothing wrong with using another mod at all.....but REOs are tanks! They're built to last and can be configured with various atties and builds to accommodate just about any vape style. The lounge here doesn't get as much traffic as it used to, but feel free to start a thread if you'd like some suggestions about getting it to vape the way you prefer!

I'm actually using a LowPro RDA as the topper, I do have a reomizer as a backup, but using the LowPro is what I prefer, not too closed off as the reomizer is :)

Nice, I remember seeing those now. I was thinking there might have been an RDA called a low pro, but couldn't remember for sure.

How do you like the low pro rda? I've seen them online for around $50 and they're supposed to come with a bottom feed pin. I have been contemplating getting one, but there are a ton of mixed reviews online about the atomizer. Most of those reviews are negative saying to stay away from the atomizer. I heard if the coils are mounted to high you run the risk of melting the tip. I like the idea of the atomizer and I'm not gonna let mixed reviews be my deciding factor on getting one. The $50 low pro on local vape is an authentic and I've found clones for as cheap as $9 on other websites. Even the clones are supposed to come with the bottom feed pin. I'm willing to bet that the low pro is a flavor atty as small as it is. I think I wouldn't have any problems mounting coils or wicking. Even though it's a different deck with no true posts, it looks fairly easy for me. I honestly just wanna know how it vapes, how's the flavor. And just by looking at it, I'm sure it has a lot of air flow wide open. I'm a lung hitter and love lots of air. Please let me know what you think of it.

It's definitely different breed of drippers. Deck is extremely cramped, so I don't think you can fit coils larger than 2.5mm ID and 7-8 wraps. Wicking is pretty much threading the needle with the dripper. Airflow is massive, about 1.5mm by 8mm on both sides, really really open airflow so easy lunghits on the LowPro.

If you want an exotic RDA with tiny deck and no posts, then go for it. If not, then the LowPro isn't really the dripper you want to go for.

As far as flavor goes, it does produce decent flavor as long as there's no spitback. The LowPro is extremely spitback-prone RDA, I ended up almost drinking 70% of the liquid I dripped in it due to spitback.

As far as the deck goes, I mean it's cramped to the world's end. The usable wicking area is smaller than a Kanger Subtank RBA-head and you have to build extremely close to the airflow holes, literally less than a millimeter away from them to get even somewhat decent amount of wicking in it and reduce the spitback ever so slightly.

Edit: the build in the picture: 2x 0.32mm + 0.1x0.5mm ribbon twisted, 5-wrap singlecoil done on a 2.5mm coiler if I remember right

Looking at your picture, with a single coil I would of mounted it differently. Build a coil with the legs like this.
be66ec89e1a13b222536306fd0a92814.jpg
then attach one leg of the coil to the top right positive screw and the other leg to the bottom left negative screw or vice versa. The coil would be mounted centered directly over the feed hole and I'd wick the coil through the center and tuck the ends of the wick under the coil pressed along the side wall so that the wick isn't covering the feed hole. That's how I'd do it and if I pick up a low pro which I think I am, I'd drop in a .45 ohm twisted 26g kanthal coil or maybe a Clapton in the same fashion I just described. You would still get air to the coil no matter how it's positioned with a chamber area that small. I'd only mount coils like yours if I chose to do dual coils.

You could try. There would be almost no airflow and it would be prone to leaking due to wicking method used in a coil like that. Also, the driptip has got a plastic mesh "spitback guard" which would melt if the coil is too close to it. I tried once, it shot hot liquid directly into my mouth, and I prefer using the 'suggested' building method, e.g. building coils with openings facing the posts on the deck.

this makes it a no go for me! Plus being so cramped, I can't see a 1 mm difference lol
It depends massively on the build you put in it though. The build in the pic I posted doesn't really have any spitback, but if you build the coils closer to the center of the deck and away from the airflow holes, you will get massive amounts of spitback :)

Howdy, folks! Where did the super chatty lounge go? I hope everyone's doing well. Just trying to stay warm myself. Managed to give several of my mods a bath today. It's amazing how grungy they can look after about a month! Plus, I forget how good my Reos hit when they are clean :). Just hanging around, watching some stuff on the tube and getting ready to eat some dinner. You all have a great evening!
