congrats, you made a great choice. when I first got my 2.0 I thought how could this thing me good, its way to small.
I was wrong it worked nice and its a easy build base too.

after a couple days I did realize I needed a larger air hole for my vaping technique and my coil. I increased the air hole size little by little
and stayed with the new size a couple/few days before I went larger. now, its vaping outrageous. big clouds. really great flavor and I love it.

Sweet thanks for sharing. What size air holes and what's the technique do you use for the inhale? I'm assuming straight to the air bags (lungs) ?? Lol

I've tried sub ohm on a buddies set up and wasn't crazy for it really. The appeal for rba is cost of ownership and ditching Cartos along with playing around with a new gizmo.

Btw I tried the igo-l on some unknown mech mode (tube)

An RM2 with a micro coil around .9-1.4 ohms will suit you rather well I think. Super easy to build and will give you great flavor and clouds with thin wire that won't back out your post screws. Get some 30g kanthal and do a 8-9 wrap coil with the sterile cotton and you will love it, get great battery life, and have a Vape that isn't stupid hot like something in the .4 ohm range.

I havent used my cartos, tanks, protank, iclear 30 in the 3 weeks since I got my rm2. Even my igo-w is a little lonely,

A good microcoil and cotton wick atop my grand vv and im in vaping nirvana.

My airhole is drilled out to 1/8 I think...got it used that way. Quite airy and I like it. I do mouth hits with some to lungs. Full lung hits make me choke.

Sweet I got both straight from rob. Iirc 28g and 30g kanthal. I'm pretty new to the rba scene and wasn't 100% sure I scored the right swag.

As for the ohms. We will see, I'll need to play around a bit. From previous experience on carto and 901, 510, 306 atomizers. I seem to dig the 1.7 to 2.2 range usually at 3.7v. Sometimes I'll rock my carto tanks 4.2, 4.4v on the provari.

None the less some experimenting will be required on the rm2.

Thx for the tips too :)

Woot woot I'm excited. My first rm2 and first rba on its way.

Just thought I'd share my excitement.

If it goes well, I'll have to get another one so Reo grand doesn't get jealous of the Reo mini :)

Quick question to everyone, how is the stock air holes? I am very keen on the boge LR and Empire atomizer draw. Is it comparable to those ?

I think the stock is almost perfect. I have opened a couple of mine up just a little.....not to the full 1/16" that a LOT of Reonauts are running. But then, I don't do sub-ohm coils, either. I vape at between .8 and 1.1 ohms and the stock air hole is fine. I'm not sure how it compares to other attys/cartos because I just can't remember. The RM2 is in another league altogether. Try it stock at first, then you'll know whether or not you want to open it up a little. You're gonna love it.....!!!

i'm rotating 3 reos- 2 have rm2s, one an hh357. the draw on the rm2 i purchased from reosmods is the same draw as the hh357 disposable. the other rm2 is a bit airier, but may have been drilled by the previous owner. i do mouth-to-lung so the stock rm2 is perfect for me. i dislike airy draws.

I felt the draw was airy compared to the atomizers I used. Took a little while for me to get use to it.

The drip tip you use will contribute to the draw also. Some of the large bore drip tips will make it more airy.

I have a few drip tips that are small bore. I do like those better.

Also if you do lung hits you might find a large bore drip tip gives you more air flow.

And what atomizers were you using ? This wil help me gauge the draw a little better

My go to was the Joye L.R. 306 and 510 at 1.5ohms. I also tried the HR 357, i06, and lots of others. The draw on any of these seemed tighter than on the RM2.

I found getting a good pair of 'helping hands' made life a lot easier.

I started with one of the £10 jobs, which aren't bad and do help. You can use one crocodile clip to hold the atomiser, and optionally another to hold a screwdriver with the coil wrapped round it. Put something underneath the clip with the atomiser in as well, so you can push down on it without the arms moving.

I recently upgraded to this;

Which is over the top, no doubt, but the better magnifying glass with LED lights is a massive bonus. I've attached the crocs from the first one to this. It now looks like Darth Vader's torture robot thing - also, arguably, a massive bonus.

hi, bhamilton_930

I posted a reply earlier today, and you asked me how I inhale. I do mouth to lung. my go to coil set up is .8 ohms with 28 gauge wire
and the coil is 4 wrap.

I do and have tried dual coils in my rigs. and going to lower ohms. low as .3 ohms. for some reason .8 gives me the warmth I like and the vape cloud I like along with very good flavor from my juice.

I have had good results with dual coils and with more wraps with a smaller diameter coil. but I always return to my 4 wrap .8

I don't remember what size the air hole I ended with on my reomizer, but I like a little draw, I don't need to fill a room with when I exhale. but I do like the vape to be on the thick side.

later on you asked to compare the draw of a stock hole with a carto or pre made atomizer. I used empire mods atty's before and many cartos and I feel the stock hole is a tighter draw then premade atty's and cartos. but it all personal.

marsos52,

Thank you for the replies. It sounds like our vape style is very similar. I found your info very helpful. Thanks again.

My RM2 should be here tomorrow ;)

My RM2 arrived today. I R happy :)

I started building my first coil. It came in around 2.6 ohm and looked like garbage. Also far to high on a reo @ 3.7v IMHO.

So I rebuilt the coil and scored at 2.2ohm. Not bad but still far from my sweet spot. So after work tonight I'll keep fiddling til I figure how to hit 1.ish ohm

I bought 28 and 30 kanthal and tried 8 and 10 wraps.
