Going through my vaping gear I stumbled upon a clearomizer I have virtually never used.A year ago I bought the following tank from fasttech

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...hentic-mini-protank-ii-v2-glass-clearomizer-1

It came in a packet with two coils. When I used it with these coils the result was gurgling all the time but I thought that this was typical of factory coils.I was not using it much compared to other clearomizers so I left it aside. Some months later I ordered a pack of authentic coils

https://www.fasttech.com/products/3...thentic-protank-clearomizer-coil-heads-5-pack

When they arrived it was clear from the beginning that they were different than the ones that came with the clearo. When I tried to change coils I realized that they wouldn't fit inside the tube that connects the top and bottom caps.I contacted the vendor and they replied by saying that probably the ones I ordered were defective and they would send another pack for free. They arrived and the result was the same.So I sent an email to FT telling them that they probably sold me a clone. They responded by saying that the tank was authentic and since 6 months has passed since the day I purchased it they couldn't replace it.#@%#$@
So my question is what the hell happened? If anyone has any idea feel free to express it here. And is there a solution to fix the problem?

A fellow Pink Floyd fan vaper. I mean look at this guy's signature... a "Hey you" themed vaping anthem. Someone give this guy a medal!!

I can't really help you when it comes to coil heads compatibility as i never ordered the replacement coils from fasttech, but you can always rebuild the coils that came in the package of your protank mini 2. I just rebuilt mine, 8/7 wraps of 28g kanthal, around a 2mm screwdriver, came out at 1.3 ohms, and wicked with koh gen do. It's working nicely with my MVP 2.
The 5 pack package i have says (Coil Unit for protank & EVOD & Unitank), yours only says (Coil Unit for Protank). Mine fit properly. There should be nothing wrong with yours, unless they are not authentic kangertech coils, that were made with different dimensions that will not make them fit the Protank mini 2.
EDIT: You can still put the stock coils side to side with the replacements you bought or even measure them if you got the tools to see if there are any differences.

I've bought some Protank 2 clone clearomizers from FT that worked great and some that no OEM coils would work with. On one clearomizer, the tube for the coil shaft is too small for other coils, so I have to swap the shaft when I change coils. Other times I have ordered coils for my T3S, but the flange is wider like the EVOD coils so they won't fit either. I guess it averages out in the end and you get what you pay for. It would be nice if there was more standardization among OEMs and clone makers.
