I have just left Mountain Oak Vapors in Oviedo, FL and they were selling REO Grands. Never seen them in a store before. Rather cool!

I'm inclined to think support for REOs bought in a B&M, with no gentle guiding to ECF REOsmods subforum, would be a support nightmare for Robert. Of course, I know nothing of how knowledgeable MOV staff is (regarding all things REO), so maybe Robert is just very selective about who he allows to sell them in shops.

I, for one, rather enjoy being able to obtain them directly from the manufacturer, with the support and selection and spare parts and such that goes with that ability.

That is very true and hadn't thought of that. Rob only has the nightmare to deal with us and adding shop owners could even more of a headache.

I asked the guy working there what the cost was and he said $190 for the LP Grand and $160 for the standard profile Grand. The guy also told me that he was on ECF. He was 25ish and pretty knowledgeable and didn't try to impress me with his own mechanical tube mod and quad coil .1 ohm build like so many of the other brick and mortar d0uche$ that I have met. He said he owns a Grand. It was a gift he received when he got the job. He said he loves it and is his most reliable mod.

I have only been in a couple of local vape shops but have to admit that I was not very impressed with their inventory or their level of knowledge. I am so glad to hear that their are some really good shops out there which I knew there had to be somewhere. Kudos to this B&M and thank you for sharing.

I plan to do more brick and mortar stores . I am finding ecf isn't enough anymore lots of people never go online to learn about e cigs . That is how people find out about the reo . There are shops all over the country years ago there were very few .

Hmmmm... maybe time to open my own business!

I think that a lot, if not most, of the new vapors learn about e cigs thru friends, and end up in a vape shop. I don't think most vape shops, at least the few I've been in, know about ecf, or talk about it, they want there customers in the stores, not on the internet. I've mentioned ecf a few times, and just get a blank stare.

In my limited exposure to B&M's, I've found that most don't know of the reo, but are fascinated by it as soon as I show one to them (one B&M owner tracked me down on the street to show me the one he picked up for himself).

They also don't really know about the scene in here but are usually quite knowledgeable about the vaping culture on Reddit. One hipster staffer referred to ECF as the Facebook of vaping (with a sneer as he eyed my middle aged self). I said "Oh yeah, elitism is definitely the way to go when you sell a smoking replacement technology". He was not amused but I did get two customers asking to see the reo.

I have at least 12 b&m's within a 15 mile radius of me, could be more, but i stopped looking for them, and i have visited about 8 of them. One of them is owned by a very good friend of mine. In my opinion, most of these b&m owners do NOT like ecf or other forums like ecf. They want the customers to be clueless on products, price, & any knowledge of said products
But that is MY experience in these b&m's around here
