Beautiful family!!!! Congrats on this milestone in your life. When I've struggled with obstacles and fears in my life, it's somehow helped me to not internalize the big picture and just tell myself "one day at a time." If I can do this tiny X thing, then I'll feel like I"m making progress. Then all the little things somehow turn into what grand thing I was trying to overcome or accomplish. Very proud for you!!!

Good morning REOvil :)

My iPhone camera is pretty decent for shooting mod and atty pix but it is doing the beauty of this view zero justice :)

I lived within 6 miles of the beach in the west palm beach area most of my life but I don't remember ever appreciating its beauty like I do right now. :)

Russ, I would be at the third cut wade fishing!! You don't see many days like that on the Texas beaches. Glad your having a good time.

Our last day :(

Q1BbpYD.jpg

That paper you see above the bottle is a "virtual ashtray" given to me by the dude that manned the poolside grille / bar every afternoon. (It's an ashtray drawn on a little piece of register tape). It will of course stay in this mod with me as a symbol of my progress towards managing my issues.

Were all back at the room getting showered up and getting ready to head out for dinner.

Rudy, thank you so much for the invite bro, but we are heading to a place called steamers that the kids wanna check out. Thank you though :)

Russ

Crash, too funny bro :) yep, the diazepam and reggae put me in a happy thought place. Normally I listen to new metal but I may continue to mix it up, maybe even dis the metal entirely.

They played a lot of 80's and 90's pop rock throughout the hotel. It also combined good With Kilmer and Neilson. Normally I dislike the music I used to like. But after hearing some def leppard and billy idol, I may reintroduce that back into my life. It was a soothing trip down memory lane :)

We all just had a killer dinner now some storms are blowing thru sending us scurrying back to the hotel :)

X you must have used up all the nice weather it's been a complete washout here all day. My favorite teacher from High school (art class) had a stereo system in her classroom, played Marley all day everyday. Loved it, loved her, may she R.I.P. she left this world way too young. Modern hard rock/metal is my thing, favorite without a doubt Layne Staley.

Good morning all. Yes, back in not so sunny GA.

Y'all are some great folks. Your kind and inspiring words did much to fill my mind as I tried to relax on the way back. One particular one was "super_X strong". Many a time when I felt like I was gonna need to ask my wife to pull over "cause I'm freaking out" I thought of that. It worked. The Valium helped too. I used 6 - 5mg over a 7 hour trip. I was more anxious because we woke to rain and the radar showed a lot of rain possible for the journey. Turned out the sun shine a good part of the way.

The music was "soothing waters" radio on pandora. That, two big pillows from my bed, my very safe driving wife and my awesome kids did it for me.

Other motivating thoughts:

"I'm gonna so duplicate the burgers we enjoyed from the tiki grille when I get home" (the chef told me a his secrets and wrote the recipient for the killer seasoning).

"I'm gonna break out my killer deep fryer and make Fridays mozzarella sticks"

"The kids and I are going for a golf cart ride"

"I am going to enjoy my wife's awesomeness once the kids get to sleep"

"I'm gonna play Black Ops II with my boys"

Well, I did all of the above last night except black ops and golf cart. The family said I matched the burgers perfectly and my youngest said they were better :)

Now I need to use this to build on tackling local avoidances - the peaceful little highway that I avoid, for one. There are others. I'll try to post here whenever I do them.

Blue snake, brother, please, you do it too. (Anyone else too). Let's use this as a place to document our little victories along the way in facing our fears and managing our GAD while we enjoy killer vapes And don't forget that a little Valium works wonders to take the edge off and give the courage it takes.

Blue, perhaps we can do little steps "together" we can call each other, get in our cars and take little drives while supporting each other. I'm yours brother if I can assist.

Thank you REOvil.

Russ

Here's my view right now. That's Lewis :)

I don't know what it is like but I do understand what you've been through. My ex had a fear of spiders that goes beyond anything I know. I helped her deal with that for 20 years. I'm very proud of you and your family. (I'm sure their help was invaluable) Congrats my brother, it's a long road but with a family like yours and the support of Reoville you're going to do very well. Kick Ayuss and take names from here on out Supe. You da man!

Ok Russ, out with the recipe for the burgers! :)

Happy for you brother!

Ok :) here's how. I'm shooting for medium.

The seasoning:

Equal parts:

White pepper
Paprika
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Seasoned salt
Oregano
Salt

Shake together and put in a sprinkler jar or container.

Get a squeeze bottle and fill it with Worcestershire sauce. Let's call it WS from now on cause I can't spell it.

The grill (were going to do the whole process with the top open once preheated. No closing the top).

Keep one section on high (on my weber has three burners. that meant the two back burners on high)

Keep one section on medium low (the front burner on low for me).

Form the burgers (I used chuck) into 1/3 pound about 1/2 inch thick patties.

Place them on the high side of the grill. Let em hang there for about 2 mins. Then do a 1/4 spin to get good grill marks. Let them stay another 1 mins. Now douse them with WS then a good sprinkle of seasoning. 1 minute more.

Now flip and keep in the high side of the grille. Douse with WS and sprinkle seasoning. After 2 minutes, gently press with your spatula. Let stay another two minutes.

Now flip them and move them to medium low side. Douse with WS and another light sprinkle of seasoning. They will stay there for 3-4 minutes.

Vape, enjoy the smell and the scenery and drop your fries in the deep fryer.

Flip, keeping them on the medium low side. One more shot of WS and light sprinkle of seasoning and a gentle press with spatula. They will stay there for 3-4 minutes.

Go in, get your buns and cheese ready.

Now pull em and enjoy :)

Maybe I'll make a video of this :)

@Russ - LMAO!

We want a video! We want a video! We want a video!

With some reggae in the background.

Thanks for the recipe. :toast:

This video would actually be much easier than a RBA video. I will try to make one next week. I'll have one of my kids do the camera work so I can just cook :)

the new me: super_X_burgervideomakingguy :). I like it :)

I can't wait :)
