Replacement flavor wicks

I like to dry burn my Kanger protank and Kanger T3 heads regularly but I find that the flavor wicks tend to fall apart, I was wondering if this would be suitable to replace them with.

that will do it might as well get some of this too Kanthal A-1 Heater Coil Wire so you can rebuild your pro tank coils it's really easy only take a few minutes I use the 32g

How do you know if the coil needs to be replaced? I get the flavor wick shredding apart, and realize it's probably just as easy to recoil at the same time...but how do you differntiate the need for a good cleaning and totally recoiling and rewicking? (on both t3 and stardust style clearomizers)

I rebuild to 4.75mm and no flavor wicks. Sure makes cleaning and dry burning more sexy.

If the wash and dry burn it don't taste good anymore and not as good vapor. If you have a cat it'll start making those "in heat" noises.

I dry burn the silica wicks and replace just the flavor wicks with cotton. That send to work fine for me
