Resolder eGo battery switch?

I disassembled my 1000 mah eGo Twist battery to fix the misaligned switch button and pulled the head too hard, breaking the solder connections on both sides of the switch. I don't have a tiny soldering iron and am not sure I'd know where to solder the connections if I did.

Do any of you do repairs or know of a service I could send it for repair that makes economic sense? Or should I just pitch it and buy a new one?

If you look carefully at the board, you can see where it was soldered to the board. Pretty easy fix, just make sure soldering iron is fully heated prior to starting. With shipping it is probably not worth it to ship out.

You need the right tools for a DIY fix. A 12-watt Weller soldering pencil is a good start along with solder, flux, desoldering braid, maybe some handy-hands to hold the board while soldering. You could probably spend less for a new Twist than purchasing what you need to make the repair. If you have most of what you need for repairs, go DIY.

Thanks to you both for your replies. Being a DIY'er in most aspects of life, I'll buy a new Twist and keep the broken one to repair at a future time since I don't have the soldering equipment yzer listed.
