Rest In Pieces (RIP) - Private V2 Mod - Stuck Locking Ring

My brand spankin new SS/Brass Private V2 mod is now R.I.P.

My original issue was the stuck locking ring in "ready to fire" mode.

So the first tip I found online was the freezer trick so I put the switch unit in the freezer last night and worked on it this morning. I was able to break-free the locking ring but I had another problem....the battery I used was now stuck tightly in the battery housing.

Using strips of drawer linear pad, I applied my Kungfu death grip technique and created another problem...I tore the upper brass tubing...then I realized the locking ring was now stuck in lock mode.

It was all down hill from here...I also tore the lower brass tubing which is now stuck in the body tube and I tore the cooper watchamacallit.

...So if I could do this over again, I would have first removed the trigger assembly, then used some Noalox anti-seize on all the threading before the freezer trick. Once the locking ring was free, I should have applied some WD-40 and avoid any applied force on it while unscrewing the tubes/housing.

I'm sorry my dear friend. I tried my very best but my chi energy was too strong this morning. I know you are in a better place where you will no longer experience any seizing or cross-threading....you would have looked awesome with my Nimbus atty.

I've got the aluminium version as a backup and like it alot. I might have to order another and give it one more try but it's going to be awhile since there are several in line that I want first. =D

Man you handle this well. I would be... Uh... Yeah. When I break one thing and attempt to fix it, more things get broken, I get mad. Damn rage

I've yet needed to try, but next time I have a locked part, I am going to try using rubber gloves or those rubber mats they make for removing lids stuck on jars. I used the freezer method once and it worked for that (Nemesis), but sometimes it doesn't work, especially with copper.
