Reuse Cartos?

Hello All,

I am new to vaping and I am currently using the Smoov 808 with the cartos, I have been sampling a lot of different flavors and as such have been going through my supply of cartos pretty rapidly. Do you guys reuse these once they stop working well and if so, how do you clean them?

There are alot of videos on youtube that teaches you how to wash your carto. You can use a turkey blaster and wash it out and then use IIRC alcohol to soak it for 30-60 minutes. Once its dry, you can use it.

Hi indiv,

You can clean and reuse but for me the hassle isn't worth it. If you start with good cartomizers they can last you quite a while ( up to a month or more) but if you really want to try to clean and reuse .. Watch Pbusardo .. He has a good video about cleaning and reusing cartos.

I clean my cartos. Half of them work well with the next use and half of them end up dead.

I soak them for a day in Isopropyl Alcohol. Then, blow them out and soak them in water for two days. Then, blow them out and let them dry for several days.

I'm sure there are better methods.

My method of washing cartos is to take some everclear put it in a mason jar (about half full) then put the cartos in the jar and put a lid on it. Wait a day or so, take them out of the jar and put a piece of rolled up napkin in the open end (to work as a wick) and let them dry for a few more days. Once dry refill and enjoy.

Are you refilling your cartos with eliquid or just buying prefilled cartos? If buying prefilled, you can buy eliquid and refill the cartos once the vapor production falls off. Once a carto starts 'tasting off' or once filled isn't producing much vapor, you can clean if you want to.

I have nearly 200 cartos for my wife and I...so I clean a batch of 50 every couple of months. Here is my current method.

#1. Soak in everclear overnight. (Vodka would probably work)
#2. Rinse in strainer with hot water.
#3. Boil for about 5 minutes..rinse...repeat..until orderless.
#4. Bake on cookie sheet at 175 degrees for about 1 hour.
#5. Turn off oven and leave cartos until cool.
#6. I usually let them sit for several days to completely dry since I have plenty.

Hey newb question but do you have to wash them if you are using the same flavour? If so how often?
