Been wanting to build my own box for a while. And my vaporshark battery life has been annoying the cheap out of me since I bought it about a month ago. So my thought was to rip the thing open and use most of the device in a different box with a replaceable battery-Much like the rdna version, but in a way cooler wooden box built by me. I know I could by a dna chip and buttons Much less than the VS cost but hey since I got it might as well use it. Is this feasible? My only thought was that if everything is soldered together it may not be able to be done.

And how is desoldering possible without burning the board? I have soldered and sweaterd alot of plumbing fittings but never a pcb. Is it as simple as putting the soldering iron on the connection?

You would use a low wattage iron, and a solder sucker to remove the solder once its hot. There is a video on YouTube.

It would be a shame to tear apart a nice unit though.

Edit: I forgot to mention, you should probably work on a a static free mat, and be grounded. But Im not sure how finicky that board is with static? Some boards can be fried with a little static zap, :?(
