I'd love to know what the wicking material is. Fiberglass? If it's amorphous fiberglass, which is perfectly safe and FDA approved, I'm fine. But Aspire will not clarify.
It feels almost like a fiberglass the way it crumbles in between your fingers

Hi! Am using this atty with high VG juice (odin 104 by BW). Somehow I am not experiencing the awesome flavour that many reviewers are talking about. Tried different wattages between 20 - 30 (and even a little more) and all the airhole sizes. Running it on my Vaporshark rDNA. Any advice?
Did you prime the coil/wick before you started using it? Either add a few drops to the coil head itself or let it sit for 10 mins to absorb the juice into the cotton material. Sometime people will fill it and start vaping right away and burn up the cotton a little which will give them some pretty bad flavor thru the entire life of the coil head.

Yeah primed it I did. Maybe I didn't let it sit for that long (I'll try that with the next coil). I did give it a couple of dry pulls to help get it going before I actually started vaping the thing.
Am also going to attempt a rebuild once my first coil dies. See if Japanese cotton changes things.

Maybe you just had a bad coil or maybe since your using such as high VG liquid is wasnt primed that well? Is the juice flavorful in a RDA?
When time comes and you replace the coil, drop some drop directly onto the cotton/coil then install the tank and fill it up, see if its any better
Ya know what? I was going to give it a go on one of my RDAs. But, the Atlantis was running dry so I just wanted to fill it up with a bit more juice. What happened next was the Ultimate Fail with the high VG Odin 104.
held the bottle in one hand and the tank in the other and started to fill. I was in the car. Felt my crotch going cold. ...?!?! Turns out I successfully poured 3/4ths of the Odin.
What a way to waste good money!!!!
