Received my first order from Tasty Vapor today. I got the Tobacco - 12mg - 80 pg/20 vg.
Shipping took a long time but apparently Geoff had some extenuating circumstances going on so I don't have a problem with that. Most of the juice sellers are individuals not big factories and @#$! happens sometimes. No big deal. Most people say he ships extremely fast so it's not something I'll worry about when ordering again.
Packaging was great, Tasty Vapor has an attractive label handwritten with whatever you ordered on the front. The 1 oz.(29ml) bottle it came in is nice and has a sharp drip tip and isn't too hard to squeeze. Now on to the juice.
I bought this because I've seen alot of people rave about it and I'm always on the hunt for the next best tobacco flavor. My two tobacco flavors of choice right now are eliquidplanet.com' s TOBACCO and FLUE-CURED. They are my goto every day vape. The only problems with them are ELP only sells in 10ml bottles and I want at least a 30ml bottle. At $8.99 per 10ml, it's a bit expensive as far as juice prices go these days but I received an email from Rich saying they would be carrying bigger bottles in the near future and would soon start offering discount pricing when ordering 3 10ml bottles soon. I'll be all over that.
But anyway. I loaded up my new liquid in a blank KR808 cartomizer and slapped it on the 3.7v battery and gave it a vape. At this point I'll give the standard disclaimer: Preference of flavors is obviously extremely subjective so something I don't really care for may be your greatest flavor of all time.
According to the website "This is our own tobacco maceration made from Virginia/Burley/Oriental tobacco. Steeped for a week, strained, clarified and finished with a few choice additives. This is a very aromatic, natural and flavorful liquid.".
The first two things that popped into my head upon that first toot was corn and vegetable oil. It didn't taste terrible but I also didn't get any tobacco flavor. I understand that tobacco flavor in vaping is not that same taste you get when smoking an analog because, of course, the tobacco in an analog is on fire. But what an eliquid tobacco flavor should taste like to me is that nice smell of fresh cut tobacco and I didn't get that from the Tasty Vapor liquid. It is a flavorful liquid, you don't have to go searching for the flavor. It is definitely there. Once again, you may think this tobacco flavor is the bee's knees but I just don't care for it.
Vapor production is excellent for the setup I am using. It feels like a high quality juice. No residual feels or flavors left in your mouth after a toke. And to be quite honest, after half a dozen hits, this 12mg juice gave me a little head rush.
Throat hit wasn't present but that is due to my vaping style combined with medium to low nic amounts. I really don't care about throat hit.
I'll probably order from Tasty Vapor again. They get too many good reviews to think you wouldn't eventually find something you really liked. There prices are good at a little over 50 cents per ml. The drawback is that they don't sell sampler bottles (even with the "we mix everything fresh/don't have time to do sampler bottles"angle, I just don't understand vendors that don't offer small/sampler bottles). You pay $15 per 1 oz. bottle and if you haven't tried it before and don't like it then you are out of luck.
I'm not going to write this one off. I'm going to come back to it from time to time to see if maybe my taste buds have changed or it grabs me in a different way.

if you get a bottle you don't care for, tastyvapor has a juice swap thread on their section of the forum. I like that he doesn't sell samples, that way you know your getting fresh stuff, and if he had to mix a bunch of tiny bottles, that would make shipping time super long!

=) Thanks for the review

Try atomic fire ball, it's great stuff!

I agree with the OP. I'm no fan of this flavor myself. It has a grass-clippings taste to me. I guess I was thinking it would taste more like the sweet raisin-like smell that I used to get when I opened a fresh pack of cigarettes. This tasted more like swampy tobacco leaves steeping in water (which makes sense, because that is exactly what he did to make it).

Being a former pipe and cigar smoker, I have been searching for the ONE tobacco juice that even hints at being like a nice rich Red Virginia tobacco for the pipe. Haven't found it yet, and have tried Tasty Vapor, Johnson Creek, Intelli-cig, Puresmoker, and more.

I only vape zero nicotine, and would also love to find something with any kind of kick - throat hit (hate that phrase).

Whoever gets the recipe for both a great Virginia flavor with throat hit at zero nic will definitely get my business!!:thumb:

If any former pipe or cigar smokers have happened to find a great juice...please let me know!

Give it a few days for the flavor to mature.. I wasn't impressed at all when I received my TV tobacco last week (to me it tasted like fresh cut grass).. This week it tastes much, much better... It tastes like a fresh opened pack of cigs smells... To me, right now it's the most true tobacco flavor I've tried and I've tried almost all of them out there.

I agree...stick with it a bit. When I first tried TV Tobacco, it tasted like hay or a barn..or both. I got it in a 70/30 mix btw. It could have been that I was breaking in a few new attys at the same time. But after a few days of sticking with it, I find myself pulling it out a lot.

It is a pretty mellow and pleasant vape, so I find it needs a good atty and fresh battery to pull the flavor out. I prefer it in either the Joye 510, the Silver Bullet with 510 atty or the e-cigar 701. Doesn't do anything for me in the 901 or DSE 601 e-pipe.

I got it out tonight and the first hit I took this time struck me exactly like you said - it tasted like hay.

I will definitely try that.

Just ordered the tobacco in 24mg a few days ago. If I like it (and I'm hoping I do), I might be willing to take it off your hands as a morning/afternoon vape (I bought the higher nic for nights and weekends), if you want to sell it or trade it for something.
I'm going to give it a week like Dudeman said and if I still don't like it (and you do like yours), you get dibs on it.

I've been vaping vanilla for some time and cafe mocha too... everyone knows i've quit analogs from the absence of smell. Then i try vaping tobacco, and after 3 days my boss suggested that i shouldn't go back to my smoking habit...

Confused for a while, told her that i quit a while ago and she told me that she can smell cigarette :D

Well, flavor-wise, it's not as impressive as those sweet n nice flavor like cafe mocha, butter rum or banana foster, but smell-wise it's tobacco alright...

When it comes to tobacco flavors, I believe we only really have two choices. One choice are liquids flavored with one or more flavores of tobacco absolute. The other choice is a homemede steeped tobacco maceration. As far as the homemede brew, there are only two American suppliers that I know of, those being Tasty Vapor and Vermont Vapor. I have tried them both. If only Vermont Vapor had a lot, and I mean a lot, more flavor to it, it would be worth someones efforts to try it. But Tasty Vapor wins hands down for an authentic hand-made, American made, homemade brew. It makes everything else out there taste artificial and immitation. If you do some searching here on Tasty Vapor tobacco, you will find that making the liquid takes quite a bit of finesse. I can taste the Jack in there at first in a new carto. If anyone wants a truly analog flavor, just continue vaping your Tasty Vapor tobacco filled cartomizer completely hot and dry until it starts to combust upon itself internally, that will release all of the thousands of nasty chemicals you were missing once you started vaping.

Hammond (love your Avatar btw lol) - I've also mixed the tobacco with, well pretty much every flavor I own :) I find it goes well with almost all of them (except apple, though it wasn't bad it wasn't great either lol)
I drip so my 'mixing' tends to be 2 drops of this and one drop of that kind of thing - but I do occasionally go nuts and use a mixing bottle :D The TV tobacco and coffee flavors tend to go nicely together, and I use my doubler of butter rum in it too (btw Butter rum doubler mixes really well with the new cafe machiato too - the loranns free one, makes it sweeter)You might want to experiment with it as well as wait for longer 'steeping' for a bigger flavor.
Just a thought :)

I got the tobacco and Tobacco Menthol. Every time I tried either, I felt like I wanted to throw up... Worst part is that I had to soak the atty in everclear for 8 hours to get the taste out !
I email Geoff, and he said this is how real Tobacco tastes like.. well... not sure what to say other than Tobacco leaves are nasty ... Geoff said he would rather have this than chemicals... which I agree with him..
So far I have tried about 7 flavors from TV, none of which I liked. I sold the first 5, but the Tobacco and Tobacco menthol, I will not sell since I do not want anyone to suffer !

Guys, the 5ml Sampler kits I tried from this Tennessee company all seemed like rich stuff. New I guess, nashville-ecig.com .I got a ton of vapor from all of em, a lot richer than the TW stuff I got. The Tennessee Smoke bottle was really different. Had a little brandy or..something..taste to the tobacco flavor and actually I like it as a cig taste. Coconut ok but I have no idea why I ordered that. Keoke Coffee=awesome! Sampler was about $27 bucks but I got it all in 2 days and I like the bottles too. Menthol and mint choc chip were awesome. There's a lot of companies I want to try and I lucked up on this one too. Goin for the 30ml next I think cause I go through one in 3 weeks (I must suck it down fast), trying the Butter Rum next. Somebody told me it was rich too. Love the butter. Anybody know of a good US manufacturer yet?

Looked at their page. Too expensive. $10 for 10ml is too much. Now that more and more e-liquid sites are opening up, these $1 per ml places are going to have to lower their prices or go the way of the dodo. When you've got guys like Larry at Viking Vapor doing REALLY custom mixes at $10 for 30ml using U.S. ingrediants, it doesn't make sense to pay that much.

I just received the tobacco flavor from Tasty Vapor and while I do believe it needs to mature, it does taste like fresh cut tobacco to me. A bit on the plain side since I quickly got used to vaping TV's flavors though!

Tastes in vaping seem to change. I find that I've got 3 different 510 PV's going at once... two with flavors and one with the plain tobacco flavor. It's a clean taste that I use in between the other flavors - which seems to enhance the flavorings. It's the best Tobacco flavor for me, and I have tried many of them.

Of course, if your looking for that "light 'em up and actually smoke a cigarette" nasty lingering flavor, I'm not sure that could be achieved using pure unadulterated tobacco. And, since I'm not into that stench any longer, the Tobacco flavor from TV is spot on in my opinion.

Since it's mixed fresh, I've found like others have, that the liquids/flavors seem to mature over time.
