Rewick orchid/kayfun without draining

So I got sick of waiting to finish a tank to rewick and rebuild my kayfun and orchids so I decided to do something about it

What u need:

-Double sided screwdriver Philips/flat head

-Something to hold it upright



Build a stand with the two parts and set your orchid on top... Make sure the bulb part is sticking up





Push down and unscrew your base... When the threads are finished carefully push down the tank but not too far





Now unscrew your chimney and rebuild

You only lose a couple drops

That's it... Just thought I would share... I know there are devices out there to do this for 12-15 bucks but this one was made from spare parts from my other rdas... So to me it's free... And free is good!

That's a bit creative, but a carto filling tool that plugs the drip tip could work. I've used it before, the only issue is how are you going to attach the base chimney assembly with all the juice resting in the top portion of the tank?

There's really no way around draining the tank.

It's not an issue:
Just push the chimney top against the screw driver and push the tank back up... In essence the screw driver (being the same diameter as the chimney) and the chimney top become one long shaft

I've done it for the past two weeks and it works like a charm... No need to drain the tank .. The juice just sits in the top portion

This way it's free... It's easy, u don't loose the juice when redoing your wicks

Yup and the kaykork ... But why buy something, wait for two weeks for it to come in... When this is free and can also be used as a screw driver

However, I`ll continue to use my needle syringe just so nothing spills.

But this is a great idea.

The top of a dropper bottle works well too.. Fits right in the drip tip opening. Leave it open if you wanna drain it back into a bottle, or melt the tip shut and you can keep the tank full...
