What is the advantages of ribbon wire over standard round wire? My wire supplier will be getting ribbon in soon and was curious to the different aspects of ribbon to round.

The ribbon has more surface area contact with the wick. This allows more of the heat that's generated by the coil to transfer to the wick.

Kidneypuncher has A-1 ribbon in stock last I checked, and yes it's surface contact that makes it so effective.
