I enjoyed her work. She always seemed to be up for anything including poking fun at herself. In my opinion that is the mark of a great gal. Rest in peace Barb.

I like the pic/caption, Sudo. I think Mary Kay is right too, Barbara strikes me as one who knew how to make fun of herself... like the time when she told Hugh Beaumont --
"Ward, you were a little hard on Theodore last night"
or words to that effect. =)

I don't get to say this about to many things but when it comes to Leave it to Beaver, I'm to young to remember that show. (Give me a moment to bask in the glow of being to young for something) OK, I did love her in Airplane, and I agree with MK, she seemed like the type of person that could laugh at herself.
Enjoy being too young while you can, lol...you too one day will be OLD and it'll be here in a blink of the eye.
Not that many things these days I can say that about. I just remembered wasn't she also in the Michael Jackson video Black and White. He also had Macaulay Culkin in the video. (I can't think of who the father was in that video) She says something like "you're father is going to be upset when he comes home". It was a cute scene, had nothing to do with what the song was about, or the rest of the video, but it was still cute.
I heard that she was in her 40's when she was on Leave it to Beaver. Amazing, wonderful woman!
