There are very few people who really change the world,,, but Les Paul did. He developed the electric guitar, and multi track tape recorder. All this done on a small budget in his basement. He was a great guitar player, too.

Indeed. He was truly a maverick. He was a big influence to my son also, who now plays bass and rhythm for Richie Blackmore.

He had a long life, and like you said invented an awesome thing, that changed the world. The electric guitar will continue to change the world for many years to come. RIP

Wow. I didn't even hear about this until just now.

LP has been a big part of my life as you can tell by the pictures of my basement.
