I watch reviews for one reason: to get information about products I'm interested in. Phil Busardo, IMO, provides the most. I don't always agree with him, and sometimes really like a product he doesn't, or vice versa. But, he certainly provides the information I want to know. He hasn't reviewed everything that interests me, of course. Dimitris and Todd have reviewed some Busardo hasn't, and I enjoy their reviews as well.
I have also watched Tisted and Suckmymod and some others. I try not to watch Rip. He aggravates me, lol! I don't think he's entertaining; I find him migraine inducing.

Rip says he doesn't get paid but we all know its just a cover so people don't bash. but all that aside hes got great builds and his e-juice is wonderful!
I'm fairly confident that opinions are like ***holes everyone has one and they all stink! Jk jk I value all of the YouTube channels and forums that I frequent. Information is key, and taking it all with a grain just as much so. I was thinking of doing a review channel, but getting trapped inside in front of a camera (or behind) is not for me, to those who do it at all mad props!
I don't do drama, IMO some folks need to get a life.
I doubt anyone has access to Rip's financial records to prove or disprove any claim one way or the other.

yeahhhh!!! well, you know what? i enjoy rip trippers. he just makes me laugh and that's enough for me. i don't even care what he's reviewing. would i pay for him? if i had money enough, i surely would. lol i love that big beard. he's pretty mad and i like mad people more than normal one but it is surely because i am at least as mad as he is.

From what I understand, someone asked Rip to promote their app, and he asked for equity in their company to do so. This isn't unreasonable, since he's being asked to advertise their product. One would hope that he actually had a chance to check the product before agreeing to advertise it first though, since his reputation would be on the line.
If he was asking for compensation in exchange for a review, then that would be different: Being paid by the company of the product you're reviewing would be completely unethical.

Just watched 420's video on the matter. It sounds like Rip was offering to advertise for a stake in the company, nothing wrong with that at all. It's completely separate from reviewing the product, the deal wasn't made and he still reviewed the products for free. Throwing out a plug in his vids using his hard earned name and brand (which has value) for money is completely fine imo. It's got nothing to do with the products themselves. I've found he consistently gives good reviews mentioning the real pros and cons for said product.

I'll continue to watch Rip and 420, they're the 2 I follow the most. I just think this has been blown out of proportion and a lot of people are jumping to incorrect conclusions.

While it may be fair from a business standpoint - quid pro quo - it implies that he would give rave reviews and hype it to no end to make money off of it - regardless of quality. Equity in a company without growth is worth less than a straight up payment. It may be worth nothing if the product isn't good or properly hyped.
Then again I don't know if that's the full story. Not holding this against RIP - just speaking in generalities.
I don't see it that way, I'm going on what is said in the screen shots and what I think I know about Rip. Going on all his videos I just can't see him raving about a bad product, I still think he'd give it a fair review and state any negative points about it. If he didn't, I think we'd see an obvious change in the reviews, and the first bad product he hypes up, once everyone has gone and bought it and been disappointed, he would lose all his credibility and lose everything. You can tell he loves vaping and is extremely enthusiastic about it, I just hope I'm right!
Here's my final take on this train wreck.
We don't know if Rip did anything unethical, because no substantial, irrefutable evidence has been presented. So as far as I'm concerned he's innocent in all this until proven otherwise.
As far as the other guy, this was a ....* move on his part. I probably won't watch anything of his going forward. I unsubscribed from his channel. People with good character just don't pull this kind of crap, and I don't have any use for people who lack character.

I never saw Rip review a product he didn't like. That being said when I first started building some of his videos were quite helpful.
I think twisted is misguided in this tbf, I don't like what he's done but I think he thinks he's doing the right thing. Ahh maybe I'm too soft, but I still like em both lol.
I knew Rip was a shill when he pumped the AC9. That was the most horrible POS I have ever known. His hype allowed me to recoup my cost though, after I tried it and realize what a gigantic turd it was. Haven't believed a word he has said since.
I don't like to watch RIP or Vaping with Twisted 420. I watch Pete or Z Vapor if I want a review that is informative. The thing that bugs me about Twisted is that dumb ... thing he does with his hands like he is some Kung Fu master because he has a Ninja Turtles poster behind him. Vaping with Twisted 420 has returned with my little Kung Fu ..... SMH

I feel sorry for the folks that didn't realize that rips in it for rip.. I knew he was a sleezy dude from jump street. I'll stick with Pbusardo, Todd, and the Vapin greek. I trust those guys 100%
